How is he considered a tune-up by anyone? I honestly think Floyd would get more of a "pass" than Manny, had it been him who got knocked out. Rios isn't a tune-up for any fighter, let alone after getting knocked out.

Dude. He gets criticized for fighting better fighters than Rios coming off of wins. So yes, he would get criticized for fighting Rios, even if Floyd got knocked out before that fight.

I don't think so. I've already read how Amir Khan is a good fight cause it will sell. After getting knocked out, I don't imagine Floyd vs a sht talking Mecian wouldn't sell. But that's your opinion. I imagine, "young, hungry lion" being used a half gazillion times during promotions and his fans repeating it. Which would be true, tbf.

Both Pac and Rios are coming off of losses and fighting in a non-title fight. Who is criticizing this?

Rios a tune up? lmfao. Only a idiot believes that. Rios loos to Alvarado by way of lame decision. Alvarado ran the entire fight. Did what he had to do to win. Rios IMO just didnt have a plan B. I think he was expecting another toe to toe fight and if that was the case He was gonna stop him again. But it back fired on him and he gave away to many rounds.
          Rios...A tune up...My ass!

Pac is held to a higher standard than Floyd, so Floyd wouldn't get criticised.
Pac fights JMM, Bradley and then JMM within 18months.....basically fighting top 10 or top 5 p4p fighters one after the other.

Floyd doesn't. He fights unranked p4p fighters like Guerrero and Canelo.

                It depends who you ask.

I don't criticize Pac for fighting Rios by the way.

Are you actually insinuating that Rios is a better fighter than canelo?

Rios shouldn't be referred to as a tune up. He's a guy that was picked because he's supposed to make Manny look good. And if Pacquiao is close to the Pacquiao of old, he'll do just that. If he's not, Rios may spoil some plans.
