I've said it before, boxing fans bases have gone deeper than just rooting for a fighter or nationality, we now have promotional fanboys. They root for an entire promotional company, and everything that company does is okay.

berto, ortiz, guerrero and others would never have a world title, these guys are b/c fighters who have 1 fight at 147 against trash and are fed to guys like floyd

ortiz just came off from getting his ass kicked and was almost gifted a title, great stuff ibf

thank you for protecting boxing the golden girls who are crooks
Mayweather runs Golden Boy. Everything else they do, without his blessing, is rather amateurish. I'll stick to HBO until May 3, 2014.

He fought for that regional belt in his first pro fight. Why can't Victor Ortiz, a former world champion, fight for a title in his first fight at 154?

The alphabet soup governing bodies are all over the place and have no consistency.

                      It's a different sanctioning body.
