Why not just have it as a non-title fight??

Ortiz lucked out,, molina would have dragged him, or at best made him look bad even if ortiz won,,,

GBP should just make the ortiz-canelo fight,,, both coming off losses, and molina and lara-trout winner will be tough outs for anyone,,,

just make canelo-ortiz,, that is what they want, and it would sell,, ortiz isnt good enough especially mentally to get on a win streak at 154 vs top guys,, might as well cash him out now while you can, because if ortiz fight angulo, lara, trout, etc he is losing and there wont be a canelo fight,,,

if not canelo, then have ortiz-berto 2

Finally, a sanctioning body uses some common sense. Too bad the WBC didn't take a page from the IBF's book when they decided to install a guy who has never fought at welterweight and has lost two of his last four fights at the WBC number 2 rated contender.

Well ortiz certainly doesn't deserve the title fight but I didn't really care he was getting it. Bs like that happens with big name fighters all the time in boxing. Guess IBF wasn't with it or didnt get evough money out of it. I'm not putting the later past them cuz sanctioning bodies ain't **** either. Their just after a check too most of the time. Have them fight without the title on the line. Idc.

PAC not a champion so I don't think their fighting for any championship.

berto, ortiz, guerrero and others would never have a world title, these guys are b/c fighters who have 1 fight at 147 against trash and are fed to guys like floyd

ortiz just came off from getting his ass kicked and was almost gifted a title, great stuff ibf

thank you for protecting boxing the golden girls who are crooks
True, it's really too bad that Margarito and Pacquiao, two Top Rank fighters, were able to fight for the vacant 154 WBC title when neither of them were ranked in top 10 at 154, and Margarito wasn't even ranked in any weight class at all.

At least with Ortiz vs Molina, one guy was ranked in top 10 and is holding the IBF title.

Meanwhile Lomachenko is getting a title shot in his next fight. I guess Arum greased a few palms and Schaeffer didn't.
