Whitaker has been hit cleanly more than Floyd. He fought better fighters all up, but he was also hurt, dropped and stunned more often than Floyd.

You're making him out to be something he wasn't.

yea, that tends to happen when you fight better fighters time and time again. Floyd avoided better fighters than he faced time and time again.

Well, thanks for replying to me and repeating what I already said, I guess.

Nonetheless, the point remains that overall, despite what people think of the opposition, that Floyd has been hit cleanly less, hurt and dropped less and has shown defense that has been more consistent than Sweet Pea.

Beats everyone on points except Hearns--quite possibly the worst stylistic matchup for FLoyd. Oscar would be the closest fight of the 3 wins.

Floyd has been in there against better fighters than Roger, Vasquez and McGirt, all fighters who have dropped Whitaker. I don't mind if your of the opinion that Whitaker was better defensively as that's a respectable opinion but don't back up that statement with ******ity. Now I expect to be put back on your ignore list because that's usually how it goes, jus' remember that you could never fuck with me.

again, when you face lesser competition, you look tremendously better.

Pea faced much better competition. Of course he will be hit more and stunned more than a guy who is taking on people who don't belong in the same ring to begin with. that has nothing to do with the quality of defense, it's the quality of opposition.

Exactly, my thing is...if Whitaker stopped showboating then his defense would have probably been equally as consistent but he liked to have fun.

                      Your a faboy..........

Whitaker did not get hit as much as Floyd, EVER. You are a fan boy. Name one punch you could continually hit Pea with? Not ONE. Whitaker had better legs, mabe the best in history as well. And on top of that, he faced the very best opposition to prove that point, fight in and fight out. Again, my point is proven by fights like Castillo 1, an over the hill De La Hoya, and an over the hill Cotto. Those were Floyd's toughest fights. WHY were they his toughest fights if he was a better defender than Whitaker? Do you think Cotto would've had Pea bleeding?? Absolutely not! You do remember that Pea faced a PRIME Oscar, right? So we know what he would've done to that version of Oscar. Castillo was a lesser version of his idol, Chavez. So, what do you think would've happened in a fight against Pea? He would've gotten SHUT OUT. I don't care that Floyd hand was hurt either. It's boxing and things happen. Point is, even with two hands on that night, he still would've lost. He lost that fight. He was out-thrown and landed.
