Mora and Hopkins aren't the HWT champion of the world nor are there 10 threads a day arguing either is the best ever or an ATG or an ATG hwt.

The man is a ****ing DISGRACE!! Hopefully, HBO never puts him on again no matter who he fights.

You and the n/e europe propagandist need to get this through your thick heads-mainstream US audiences don't like watching some big clown grab and hold an opponent he outweighs by 25-50 lbs. thats not what bhop, ward and floyd do.

The visual of wlad's last 2 fights turns people off. Don't get mad when posters point this out. In your mind, and the rest of the propagandists, it looks the same. Not to the masses.

Who cares if it turns people off...... The point is if the objective is to hit and not get hit, is Wlad not the king the past 6 years?


The hypocrisy and double standards when it comes to Wlad is laughable.

the Haye fight was the tv fight before povetkin and that was just as ****ty a fight.

Haye's trainer said after the fight that Wlad boxed out of his mind (as ugly as it was)

It's only not boxing and crafty when it's Wlad? Just because he's big? That's not his fault. He does have a glass chin, doesn't he? Why allow himself to get that glass cracked?

Wlad using his size to his advantage and box is no different then a smaller guy using his speed to his advantage to box.

Call him a ***** because he outweighs his opponents, say it's the reason HBO or America doesn't wanna watch him, no problems with that, no ones forced to like or watch him (regardless of the hypocrisy) But what it doesn't change is the fact that he has perfected "The Sweet Science." And Wlad is indeed an artist.

with the exception of povetkin and the first peter fight I dont recall any terribly excessive clinching from wlad. at least not dq worthy clinching. im hoping that last fight wont repeat itself in his next fight

Clinching has always been his preferred defense when someone gets within arms length. The number of clinches has always depended on whether his opponent moves inside or not. He clinched all the time against Mormeck, but the fight didn't last very long so no one remembers.

it was a ****ty fight but there wasnt nearly as much clinching as in the pov fight. both guys were just hesitant to let there punches fly

There is NO justification or spin acceptable from wlad fans regarding the povetkin fight.

"Hit and not get hit" is about movement not the excessive clutching/grabbing/holding that wlad did vs povetkin.

Even the biggest Wlad fan will tell you the Povetkin fight was excessive, and overboard. That's one of 63 fights..... Name some other fights where there was as much holding, or "illegal" holding as the Povetkin fight.


There have been no fights as bad as the Povetkin one and him clinching in other fights, is just part of the game. Any and every "boxer" clinches

yea Ive always been a wlad fan but even I was pissed as all hell with his last fight and if it continues I wont be watching him anymore. that was just a terrible display of boxing. I'll give him another chance tho
