Maybe Arum fears Rigo will go the way of Winky Wright; often ducked and will have to fight abroad until he gets the correct exposure. Either way, Rigo should never have to change his style if it wins him titles. Leave Top Rank for better promotion. Floyd has a similar (as tards call it "boring") style and people pay to see it in droves.

      Great!
And they are more lucrative because......???? Obviously Arum wants to make money and having a boring champion who refuses to entertain is not ideal.

Arum's just mad that Rigo ruined his plans of trying to turn Donaire into an international superstar. Nothing to see here.

I appreciate a lot of Donaire fans sticking up for Rigo. Looks like they have learned to appreciate the guy. But it seems to me like richard aka **** is still bitter.

Why is it crazy to say both guys were being boo'ed?

Ole Bob should stick to promoting and leave the fighting to the guy doing all the training. I personally enjoyed the way Rigo made Nonito look like he just got off the amateur boat from that little island he comes from. Hell l would li ve to see Rigo school more of ole Bob's hyped up fighters in that weight class. Only a fool would go out and try ti make the fans happy by doing something he doesn't train to do. People are starting to forget the brutality of boxing and to be honest so have these promoters, commentators (mainly from HBO). Any boxer that says it feels good to get punched in the body & face is one dumb suuuuummm bbbiiitttccchhh.......

I love watching "El Chacal", but even I can admit that he goes into unnecessary lulls sometimes. Rigo can turn it up a notch. We've seen him do it. But it's tough to ask him to do that against a guy like Donaire, where he can be sparked looking to entertain the crowd. Guille will only take chances versus easier prey. He's not going to take big chances versus top opposition, and I don't blame him.

Rigo practically doesn't hug at all. I think the only times I've seen him do so was against Marroquin, after eating a couple of hard shots.

A promoter that wants his talent to fight more fan friendly, no surprise here. Why are people so upset?
