He'll never be a slickster, but Provodnikov is a very skilled fighter. He cuts the ring off and works a methodical, but very effective attack to the body and head. Because of the difference in foot speed and defense, I really can't see him challenging Floyd, but he poses a serious threat to anybody else from 140-147 IMO, including Manny Pacquiao.

Yeah, he was so macho that he quit. Like all boxers, Alvarado is a tough guy, but Tim Bradley would never quit. Maybe if he was in there with a prime Mike Tyson getting outweighed by 75lbs. Then he might quit. He should quit in that case though.

Fight Maidana then. That's like watching Danny Garcia beat Matthysse... Matthysse rebounds and wins a string of fights, and you choose to fight Matthysee because of his recent wins, as opposed to fight the guy that dogged Matthysse to start with.... ****** reasoning on your part, rube.
you realize before Mayweather fought Ortiz, Khan dropped Maidana on route to a decision victory so by your logic Mayweather should have fought Khan after the Maidana victory

Happy for him winning his first world title.
