Every Floyd fight, as someone has already mentioned. The last one was Canelo, if you know what you are watching, and the skills on display.
When is the last time Floyd was in an exciting fight?

Smh. So you actually take away the LAST time by pointing out that the Cotto fight (2012) was pretty exciting.
I also thought the Victor Ortiz (2011) AND Shane Mosley (2010) fights had definite moments of excitement but, the last fight that was up there from beginning to end was the Hatton fight (2007).
Once his opponents start spending a lot of time backpedaling, Mayweather's fights start to lack the drama many would classify as "exciting" because all the fantasy goes out the window and everyone knows that this opponent isn't "the one".Comment

Respectfully, in no sport would we ask any team or individual to risk losing by trying to achieve a "better" margin of victory.Comment

I disagree. I don't think the fighter that is winning the fight needs to try to "win it better". I think if you are losing-whether its a team or individual sport-its on you to find a way to win.

The 1st Castillo fight showed me he will risk throwing his hands if the cards are close; he did it vs Cotto also. You shouldn't risk losing when it's a blowout.Comment

Obviously i respect and admire the skills and talents of Floyd. he is the best IMO but i don't get that excited for his fights because after a few rounds you can tell he will win a comfortable UD with no real excitement. Floyd vs Hatton and Cotto were pretty good though but his last 2 bored me after a few rounds. Ortiz fight is hard to judge.
There's better fights throughout the year and past years that are better enjoyment than Floyd fights, for example Ruslan vs Alvarado this Saturday will be a more exciting fight than the Canelo fight and that isn't on PPV.
Floyd is on PPV because he is a Megastar personality out of the ring, his undefeated record, people wanting to see him lose and the fact that in the lower weight classes he was very entertaining which is what originally got him fans in the first place.Last edited by shenmue; 10-18-2013, 10:38 AM.Comment
