I agree. People assume, because they rate Maidana so lowly, that any guy with power can bomb Karass out.

It might happen, but what Maidana did is not easy against someone like Karass.

I won't pick against Thurman though... He will land the more eye catching punches and win more rounds, and box a bit when Karass tries to swarm.

But people in the boxing world are buzzing a bit too much imo....

Karass will be a great learning curve for him..

Karass has 7 losses and is B grade at best, but he is a problem for anyone because of his volume punching and chin....

If Karass can take Thurman's punches he could outwork him...

Thurman seemed a bit confused when Chaves took his big punches and kept coming at him....

For all I know this could be Thurman's coming out party but I think he is underestimating Chaves....

      Karass outboxes Thurman...
That is a bold prediction. Karass is tough and game but he is not that great of boxer and he is fairly easy to hit. Thurman is probably a better boxer and he has great power and a killer instinct. I think he wins by KO.

Im supporting Karrass but I don't see him beating Thurman.. although I did say Berto was going to stop Karrass so I have a history of underrating Karrass

But Gabrial Rosado is no bigger of a puncher than Thurman and he got rid of Karass a few fights back. Maybe Karass's newfound desire and determination makes the Rosado fight seem distant but he got taken out. Karass has taken so much punishment going back to the Mike Jones fights and every fight since that you have to wonder.....because Thurman and Karass are opposites, one is fresh and one has taken way too much punishment. That could play into the fight.

Berto is a bum but he still hits hard. 78% KO percentage or something like that.

I'll take Thurman, probably by TKO. I like SOto Karass' grit and determination but I think Thurman is a little bit better.

Karass has a granite chin and only been down once despite fighting guys who have carried their power upto middleweight.

Call me crazy I think Thurman has very good power but its not really one punch power, hes wearing down mainly non durable opposition via accumulation. I don't think his power is quite as proven as what others are making out.

I'm not so sure Thurman bombs Karass out, I'm really not.

The way people are going on you'd think hes just going to walk straight through him.

Karass is improving fight by fight. I don't feel Thurman is going to go out there and blast him clean out. I have to much respect for Karass to think this unproven puncher steamrolls him in a few rounds.
                Hes going to have to work and he might break him down but hes going to be faced with a lot hes not had to deal with before;

A guy who isn't going into a shell the moment hes touched.
Somebody with length and size - Karass is a big welter.
A guy who is going to be throwing volume back at him and making him work every second of every minute of every round.
Agreed 100%, Thurman isn't going to steamroll Karass, nobody just steamrolls this dude, and Thurman's power is overrated.

Thurman is going to bomb right through Karass.
