It was both, Garcia is much better than he's given credit for and he still doesn't really get the respect he deserves imo. Lucas was also billied to be much better than he really is. He hasn't done anything significant in the sport and he has 0 marquee wins. I'm not so impressed.

Humberto Soto, never beat anybody and some ppl had him like a boogey man
never heard soto get hyped. he has like 8 or 9 losses... solid fighter though & he was one of the boxers who didn't get those massive purses but he did well for himself outside the ring. apparently for years he spent his purses on a fleet of busses for his hometown. very smart move if he actually did this as people always use public transportation so i'm assuming the busses paid for themselves eventually...

Lucian Bute was mine. I thought he was waaayyy overstated as the "#2 guy" considering he had never fought anyone as credible as Jermain Taylor or Arthur Abraham, the *worst* Super Six entrants. I was not surprised when Carl Froch beat him (although I was surprised at the way he did it).

many of these names are action fighters & that's what people want... even guys like Judah & paulie. they both are draws & have good fan bases so they will always get a voluntary opportunity because the champion knows he has a name to add to the resume, a winnable fight & most of all a good purse... a few losses never bothered me...

I was never very impressed with Matthyse. I honestly believed Garcia could beat him. Knocking out bums does not mean you will KO the best 140 pounder in the world.

Celestino Caballero. Always said he was Hot garbage. I think Brandon Rios is a bum with a world class chin but it remains to be seen if he ends up being overhyped or not.
