If he wins it would actually be Cotto's biggest win. That's how mediocre his resume is. No offense to Cotto fans
And who did cheato beat without the plaster?

No one, that's concrete proof that he cheated. Him taking repeated beatings as the quality of opposition rose is definitely not the reason why he lost and it shouldnt even be considered. The real reason is because he was loading his gloves for every fight up until he fought Mosley. That's why I don't count his win over Cotto. If you notice he wasn't losing fights before getting caught, and the fighters he fought after getting caught were bums. Infact one of them just got stopped in his last fight.

Sergio is too big for Cotto. Sergio looked flabby last time out but his size, speed and skill will be overwhelming. Cotto would be better off fighting Canelo. That's a fight he has a good chance of winning. Of course a rematch with Floyd would be good also. Those are two fights where there is a high likelihood of winning.

I would say beating judah and mosley in 07 were some good wins..

          plus

          undefeated prime pauli
          undefeated prime torres
          prime chop chop
          prime pinto
          prime undefeated maussa

all early career wins for cotto, but proved he belonged on the elite level and was a very good fighter

Yeah, okay. I forgot Delvin "P4P" Rodriguez is the standard now. "Cotto beat me, so he definitely beats Martinez," says "P4P" Rodriguez. Don't get it twisted, Cotto beat an ESPN fighter. This dude was a tuneup and you're supposed to look good against a tune up. Everyone just relax. Martinez knocks Cotto out, though. He's too heavy handed for Cotto.
