Hard to judge in this one. From the start, commentary was that Quiggs team expected him to take over late on. Was this the plan? To break Yoandris' hand with with his face?

Doing the RBR my assumption was that coming from the ams Salinas just lacked the engine, but even at the time, the disappearance of jab with which he dominated early rounds was apparent.

It was close enough that a rematch is warranted, especially given that Scott had the belt dropped in his lap and didn't really deserve champions privilege from the draw.

Scott's pretty local to me, and I wish him well (seems like a genuine kinda guy as well), but if this injured hand thing is true, I can't see him winning a rematch.

Quigg should've started his pressure early, I mentioned this to some effect on the RBR.
Quigg did enough to win on my card and had him ahead by two rounds.

There needs to be a rematch. If the injury is true then it'll be interesting to see how the fight would have turned out.

Is it a real title? I read it was just a 'regular' title.

I think Quigg will start faster next time, Salinas looks vulnerable to the body. The right hand to the body in particular appeared to affect him.

The injury may have been the reason why Salinas stepped off the gas in the later rounds. I had Quigg winning but a rematch is welcome, although I don't see it going any other way.

That's a good fight. So it's all official?

Nicaraguan Ricardo Rizzo, the business advisor for Dream Team, said Salinas suffered a tear in his left hand in the middle of the fight, which stopped him from using his left on a regular basis for the rest of the bout. In the end, two judges saw the fight 114-114 evern, while a third scored it 115-113 in favor of Quigg.

Quigg won that fight fair and square.

Boxed to the game plan perfectly and dominated the 2nd half off the fight.

Salinas was more interested in complaining to the ref like a spoilt child than fighting, he don't deserve a rematch.

I think a draw was the right result, I'd like to see a rematch. Was pleased with the judging and could of seen how they may of been persuade by Quiggs workrate despite a lot of his shots being blocked.

Was impressed by both guys Salinas early on, he used his jab brilliantly and Quigg later on when he picked up the pace & worked away inside.

I'd like to see a rematch and would take Salinas again.

I had it 7-5 Quigg, Salinas done well but could not match Quigg when he up the pace.
