Cotto had his chance. He put up a great fight but not quite enough to warrant a rematch. Looking good against a C+ fighter on his return doesn't make any sort of case.

What an idiotic post...JMM got absolutely routed by Floyd...Cotto on the other really gave Floyd a beating in a few rounds and imo if his stamina didn't run out could maybe of won...A rematch would be justified.

People are exaggerating the Mayweather vs Cotto fight in Floyds favor....Cotto did a damn good job and it was a close tough fight. Cotto dominated the middle rounds.

No he would not have. Cotto got beat 9 rounds to 3. Being generous 8 rds to 4. People are all up in arms because Cotto made Mayweather bleed. Whud di doo! Cotto got beat and convincingly. Rematch he loses worst.

I don't think Mayfeather will have any excuse not to go for this fight. Cotto is a free agent. The money is there. Except he'll probably demand a catchweight this time around.
