Tyson would have been to fast and quick , if Haye was able to land more power punches then I can only imagine what Tyson would have done

    Wlad has no inside game
Tyson would have dealt with the clinching by stepping back and then throwing a uppercut

Prime Tyson was simply a beast, his movement was amazing

I'm not so sure about that. A prime, pre-party, pre-drugs, pre-sex fiend, Mike Tyson would hurt and possibly TKO Wlad.

They might even go the distance with Mike getting the nod in a UD.

Mike had the upper body and head movement that would make Wlad miss more than he could connect. Then he would explode
      with combos on the inside.

Hell, I think the ref would stop it or Wlad's corner would throw the towel to save Wlad from further punishment.

Which Wladimir? Now or several years ago? Because now he's past prime and I think it's showing.

Prime for Prime, Wlad troubles Tyson early with that jab, reach and height advantage. Tyson would get tied up and frustrated every time he got close.

But ultimately, Wladimir would get caught and his chin would not hold up.

Prime Wlad ko's prime Tyson within 6
Just out of curiosity, might I ask what you consider to be prime Wlad? At what point in time was his prime?

For the few ******s who always point to how Tyson 'struggled' against 6'4+ fighters. Actually no he didn't.... He won 95% of all his rounds against fighters 6'4+ minus Lewis/Douglas.

The reason guys like Smith/Tucker/Green lasted the distance was because they lost every round by shelling up and letting Tyson win via points.

Wlad is good enough NOT to get KTFO... but that means he'll just lose a WIDE UD.

If Wlad opens up..I think Tyson will KO him.

You can't honestly make a thread about Wlad KOing Tyson after that Povetkin fight. At least do it after the Wach Fight or something.

I think the reason the TS made this thread is because he/she got so frustrated at all the hate Wladimir is receiving he/she just decided to pick a target.

The truth of the matter is......I think Wladimir will lose to Prime Tyson due to the fact that you can't really clinch your way out of Tyson's attacks.. the ONLY way a super heavy can beat Prime Tyson is to have a great upper cup.. that's the one punch a super heavy have against Tyson that can stop him in his tracks.

If you don't have a great upper cut and you are 6'4+... you are probably dead against Prime Tyson ... even Vitali will just get that tall body chopped down into a late tko.

That 'great jab>than Tyson' myth is absurd... Tyson's head movement, speed, and foot work is way too superior for any jab ... he will slip under it and THAT'S when you need a great upper cut like Prime Lewis.

Even Shot Lewis... if he had hit Prime Tyson with the upper cut he hit Vitali... I don't know..........that might spell trouble for Mike.

Wladimir does not have anywhere near the assets Lewis did... and will probably get brutally stopped .....than Tyson will go hunt down Hayden and Johnathan Banks and give them the BBC.

Wladimir's rib-cracking bear hugs, headlocks, rear neck elbow presses and other assorted manhandling would take the steam out of poor little Michael. A dispirited, bruised and weary Michael Tyson is finally jabbed into a corner of the ring like a rag doll where he eats a nasty uppercut and collapses under the might of the Ukranian champion. The Klitschko style is impetuous, their defense is impregnable, and they're just ferocious, too much for any living mortal. Praise be to UDAR.

Wlad's Offensive prime was against Corrie Sanders and Brewster.
Wlad's Defensive prime is now against Povetkin.

Wlad never had a true prime.

If I was to pick Wlad's peak? It will be 2000-2005. He was gifted offensively(maybe even on par with Lewis) but lacked defense. That being said the HW Division was more competitive back in 00-05 (not as great as the 90's but better than now) and Wlad suffered two big losses against the never beens of the 90s'(Sanders/Brewster)

Once the division died down, Wlad started dominating.....

Fair assessment. I too find it difficult to really pinpoint Wlad's prime. Like you said, when he was more offensive minded, he had momentary lapses in defense. That could be disastrous against an explosive fighter like Tyson. Now that he has focused much more on defense, his offense seems to be lacking somewhat. This is why I have a hard time seeing this version of Wlad beating Tyson as well. I just don't see him throwing or landing enough to really fend off an attacking Tyson. Not too sure how effective all that clinching would be either. Tyson would more than likely be able to get in some good work on the inside, a place where Wlad has no game. Just the way I see it.

Wlad throw a nasty uppercut? Yeah, ok.

                      Tyson by an ear.......

Seriously though. I agree that Wlad should be Tyson. On the other hand a prime Tyson had the will, the drive and the hunger. He would get in and hit hard. Wlad is great. I thought this last fight was total garbage but I have said I blame the ref more than Wlad on that. I think Tyson would give Wlad fits and has a good shot if he can close the show in the first 5 rounds. After that I think Wlad takes over and jabs Tyson to submission.
