Cotto did NOT look shop worn with Freddie ROACH !!!
That cuban bastich doesn't know S### about fighters, did NOT have him in any shape mind nor body to face a quick rabbit like May JR.
Whats more obvious to me is that ROACH should have been Cottos Coach all along his whole career !!
May JR has the right trainer for him , the rabbit style, got a rabbit minded Coach, old man SR, both mesh perfectly, both are RABBIT running defensive minded pot shotters
Cotto was an OFFENSIVE minded fighter during the first and before Margo fight, but had the wrong trainer. Cotto didn't go to the body of Margo in the first fight
Roach BROUGHT it all back. I could not believe my eyes, I won't forget that and second guess Roach again
Can ROACH and COTTO catch da Rabbit ? I won't doubt it as long as COTTO responds to ROACH.
You could see the CHEMISTRY in ROACH and COTTO and especially during the interview in the ring with Max, Cotto looking on, waiting to hear what Roach would say and after the embrace of thanks from both Roach and Cotto.
I would love to have seen the Cotto that fought Sat nite fight the RABBIT crossed with a Chicken in his next fight.Comment

Roach did the unthinkable, took a seemly washed up worn out fighter and took him back to his roots and he is ALIVE and WELL

When was the last time you saw Cotto fight like that ? Delvin was a much better fighter than yall give credit for, like the two fighter Cotto had after the Pac fight, Cotto looked terrible against b fighters

If roach was so great how come he was unable to better prepare pac vs jmm? He had 3 close fights with jmm that could have went the other way and one that fans saw pac get ko'd after getting hit over and over again with the same punch. Most fans thought jmm won the 3rd fight even the pro pac crowd boo'd the decision and threw bottles at him. Roach fighters are not that well prepped for matches. He should have been able to prepare pac and neutralize jmm's right hand. All the while before each match roach would swear pac was going to ko jmm. And even would say how pac must look good in winning vs jmm only to not look that great.it seems like they never changed the fight plan. And fought the same fight every time. Listen to roach in the corner, he never gives any real instruction he sounds clueless. He does not have the ability to change fight strategy during the fight. And how can you be a trainer and not teach defense? Cotto is a great fighter and would look good vs most fighters.Comment

Lol what you fail to see is that floyd does not fight the same way. Each fight equals a new fight strategy designed to take away the opponents best assets and confuse him. No one thought he would stay in the pocket like that vs canelo. And cotto was in the best shape he had been in for some time vs floyd he fought the entire fight. Roach fighters fight the same way to their detriment. With roach in his corner cotto would be a more offensive fighter which would play right into a counter punchers hands. And one would think pac fans would hold roach accountable for not having pac better prepared vs jmm. Nacho came out looking like the much better trainer.Comment
