You can say it's because he has no fight lined up, but had he won you'd be seeing threads like Mayweather is ducking....bring on Pac...those sort of things. The hype he had before this fight was absurd, maybe to him being overhyped.

Moral of the story is, the hype collapsed....and while he wasn't a hype job....he was absurdly overhyped by a lot of posters on here. There is almost no denying that. He was getting more hype than people who actually deserved it who get thrashed on regularly.
As I woulda said to the TS a long time ago if I got here earlier... DUH... He lost, and it was a clear loss... He's currently not signed for another fight, and even still there's no one in his weight class that we're excited for him to fight now... And the loss proved he doesn't have much chance against the majority of the 147lbs division...

What do you expect? Knocking Garcia out would have made him a viable candidate for a Mayweather fight, losing clearly doesn't...

What's funny is I expected the Garcia fight to sky-rocket, but it seems like the only people excited about it were the people picking him to win pre-fight

Garcia's just not that exciting of a fighter, hardly anyone really wants to see him in with Mayweather.

some of you don't even realize let alone remember what you were saying about Matthysse and how you were saying it before Danny beat him.

Had Danny lost, all you would read is how Floyd is ducking Matthysse. You would be killing Floyd right now, and now you're saying that Danny would be no match for Floyd. Hypocrites, lmao.

I would've been telling you that Matthysse would've been no match for Floyd, and you clowns would've went in even worse than you did before Danny beat Matthysse's ass.

No more sob stories, no more "if" stories either.

Matthysse is quiet, and doesn't have a fight lined up for one reason, and one reason only. Like all professionals, he is healing. Time heals orbital wounds. Matthysse has options. A rematch with Danny or a fight with Floyd isn't one of them at the moment.

Oh my God, Matthysse is about to lose to Danny Garcia. What am I going to say to the fans on BoxingScene? I went overboard, and now I have to pay the price. I know what I'll do. I'll cry foul like a *****.

The Machine will be back and will learn from his mistakes. I'd pick him to beat Garcia in a rematch but it would be a tough fight.

So your focus on Matthysse is really all about your love for Floyd.

To be fair, you're not alone, quite a few of the schadenfreuders on this thread are Floyd fans attempting to gloat because someone who was mentioned as a possible future opponent lost before they got to him.

But at the end of the day, Floyd is one who has really lost out because he could have been the one to overcome a highly rated Matthysse and he would have had a legit opponent for next May that everyone wanted to watch.

Now he's looking at Amir Khan and his fans are left defending it.
