Wtf does money have to do with anything? I swear boxing has turned into hip-hop...what you sell and how much you earn is what matters now? Who gives two shhhits what canelo and mayweather sold..we don't see not one cent of that as fans. Was it worth the money? Nope. The simple fact the majority of your argument is revolving around money shows me I shouldn't even bother debating this. Guerrero, Broner, Ortiz have one single truly notable win on each of their records..that's about it..and I think that sums it all up from a real boxing discussion standpoint.

Floyd and Canelo are great fighters that's why people pay to see them. And was it worth the money? Yup I love the Sweet Science, I don't care about ppl just hammering each other back and forth. Broner is a great fighter with a personality that annoys people. Guerrero was on a 7-8 year win streak before losing in May.

Ortiz was knocking every fighter down in impressive fashion. And don't try to compare this to hip-hop... And like I said nobody at top rank is messing with the best fighters at Golden Boy!

That's why top rank is hesitant to put their fighters in with Golden Boy... And if a top rank fighter fights a Golden Boy fighter put your money up??

Golden Boy doesn't need Top Rank. They don't need to sit down with them or dream of a ridiculous mega-card that would never happen.

Cotto is a free agent. That's 100% fact. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know anything.

Golden Boy can make a Canelo-Cotto without the help of anyone else.

You based your entire point the first time around solely on money...now you want to act like it's about the sweet science. I don't need to go back and quote you on it because you know i'm right. As I stated I care about match-ups versus hype/pay/purse unlike most. You say GBP fighters would stomp TR fighters? Well as a consumer start demanding it...ya'll are funny on here. I'll go as far as to say Bradley has a better resume than all three of them combined but hey don't let the facts change your opinion. I'm a fan of Canelo I think the kid is something new, I do wish he'd leave Chepo and was hoping to see him bring in more experienced people to help him develop. I like Garcia but depending on how dedicated he remains will determine how high he climbs, having Brother Naz's people working with you is never a bad thing. In fact i'll say Garcia deserves more praise and a higher standing than Broner. I like Lucas but again another guy who could potentially be limited by their trainer. I don't have any issues with GBP but I will say folks blame everyone else except them for a climate they themselves created.

If Cotto wants GB to negotiate with TR, then forget Canelo fight, Cotto.

If I am GB and I know Cotto isn't in contract, but on a fight by fight basis with TR, and he wants me to negotiate with TR, I would tell Cotto to go fight someone else that is not a GB fighter. WHY is Cotto asking for this? Seriously, whether its vice versa, on companies, doesn't make sense IF you ARE a FREE AGENT.

no they did not, they were getting paid or offered 6m+ purses on ppv by top rank, arum built them up, he made them stars, then rightly so they went on their own to cash out instead of sharing it, the start is always the most difficult part, to become a bigger star as you say it, you must be made into one, that is where it is hard for promoters to do which top rank have done time and time again

if manny or floyd started their career and stayed through with gbp, they would not be stars now, gbp are not good enough or smart enough to make stars

gbp have never built a guy who can headline ppvs and make a profit on the show with 8m+ purses, they always needed a guy top rank made with their guy, without manny, floyd or oscar, golden boy would lose more money than they already have

Cotto Canelo would be an interesting fight, but for both their sakes I think they should fight another opponent each to add some credence to their fight. If Canelo win he beat a shell of the former Cotto, and if Cotto win he beat a hypejob Canelo who hasn't proven himself. There doesn't seem like to much to gain legacy wise for either fighter, but if the money is right that's all the matters I guess.
