    sergio's shot....

    he's way past his prime....

if ggg beat sergio it wouldn't mean s hit to me....

sergio damn near 40years old.... and he's looked horrible in last few fights where he's fought subpar opposition...

when he was fighting williams, pavlik and that caliber of opponent he was really at his best.

Sergio is pretty injury prone now, I think GGG will overwhelm him, if this was 2010 Sergio would be the favorite but now? No way. I hope Sergio saved up that feria because he is getting older now.

If they do fight thou GGG in 8.

Yeah because Ishida and Martinez are on the same level, stop buying hype.

He was coming off serious injuries against Murray, some feel he shouldnt have been fighting and of course he got anoter injury after.

That and Murray apparently (?) earned his shot after that Sturm fight. Yes... Believe it or not but some people have been watching boxing before 2012...and Martin has faced the better competition over GGG.

Anyways, I love GGG but face it, he's never going to fight Sergio. Sergio is doing money fights he might win and retire after probably 2 fights or so... I'm guessing he'll retire off a Cotto or Canelo fight.

Ggg doesnt need an old Sergio, why are some people so insecure of this? GGG will likely dominate for years to come. An OLD Sergio wouldnt do much...lineage aside

I don't think of Martinez as the true middleweight champion any more. He has avoided the very best middleweights for too long. He will never fight GGG in my opinion. He will always have some excuse. He seems to want to milk the middleweight title for all it's worth. He calls out 154 pounders like Canelo and Cotto but he does not fight any of the top 5 middleweights. He plans to fight in Argentina from now on which gives him a build in edge over the visiting fighter.I wish he would fight guys like GGG or Quillin but I doubt he ever will.In my opinion GGG is by far the best middleweight in the world and he is willing to fight the best middleweights that will sign the contract to fight him. To each his own. I know Martinez is the lineal middleweight champion of the world but to me GGG is the real champion. The main reason GGG has not fought better fighters is that the better fighters don't want to fight him.If he can get them in the ring I believe he will beat all of them.
