I cringed every time they called him 'the future people's champion'

Decent debut but I see one big flaw that I don't like already and that's how he sticks his chin out. He's so susceptible to catching a big counter and I'll start betting against him when he's in with experienced, durable opposition.

His hype is not coming from this fight, its coming from his amateur campaign and the progression he has shown. Sounds like you're still mad at him getting the robbery over Savon

By this reasoning you cant call anyone "real" early in their career yet you say its excusable for guys like Rigo and Gamboa? Why because they're cuban? cmon
No he lost to Medzhidov at 2011 worlds then got gifted a gold at the 2012 olympics.

Price's chin wasn't exposed any worse than Joshua's.

David Price's chin was exposed far worse, he was knocked spark out at least 3 times as an amateur, and had to be pulled out because he was getting ragdolled by Cammarelle in the Olympics, and was so far behind on points.

Plus that fight against Medzhidov could have gone either way. One of the best amateur fights I've seen personally.

Price was never once knocked 'spark out'.

Every time he was dropped, he got back up.

Price was only breakdancing on the floor, by the time he got to his feet he was engaged in Jackson's 'Thriller' dance.

Joshua proved last night that if he keeps at it and works hard enough he can become the GOAT
