What, is there an echo chamer in here with everyone jumping on the hate bandwagon? I haven't seen the fight yet but I bet it wasn't nearly as bad as these hysterical comments suggest.

Wlad did what Ali, Lewis, Johnson and loads of other champions before did-whatever the ref allowed. It was crap to watch and excessive but the ref did take a point, and for my money, Povetkin accepted a lot of those clinches without too much fuss. It's better than eating left hooks.

You may want to watch it when it's on again later tonight and instead of focusing on the clinches look at Wlad's feet when he did them...trust me on the fact you will completely be blown away if you focus at his feet..he was almost coming off the mat to add leverage in bringing his opponent down so he could lean on him...oh and don't ignore the cross neck headlock he resorted to after round 4. It was so blatant that I would've had no issue with Povetkin punching him in the nuts or during a break.

Lol Ali could actually fight inside, all Wlad did the whole fight was hold, push, and throw a Povetkin down. Wlad literally landed 0 body punches the ENTIRE fight, without those illegal tactics he'd get KTFO.

BTW that referee is probably the worst in boxing right now. I've watched a couple of his fights and the guy is TERRIBLE! I spend more time watching his ****** head interrupt the action in the ring than watching a ****ing fight.

You watch it again too then. You might be surprised by how little movement Povetkin is bothering to try while being clinched or to avoid them in a lot of the initiating. Povetkin should've gotten dirty. I agree completely. He was more than within his rights to give him some back. It's his fault he didn't. I would have.

Vlad fought dirty. If I was a HW contender and I am not, I would really devise a game plan on Punching Vlad in the junk for his tactics. You have no chance anyway the way he holds and lays on you, why not sock him in his ball's? Maybe that would discourage his holding.
