Matthysse was all wrong for Pete. He tried to do what Alexander, Judah (yes Lucas stans, they did have success) and Garcia did which was move and box. But that's not Peterson's game. When that gameplan broke down, he went to what he does best which is smother and fight inside. The rest was history.

Garcia/Peterson will be a much more competitive fight.

Not to interested in a Lucas rematch right now. Let Lucas earn that first.

He is the undisputed champ. He doesn't need to beat Peterson for that claim lol.

Peterson's belt belongs to Matthyse, who now owed it to Garcia.

Peterson is done. Beating Peterson means nothing anymore. He got laid out like his name is Amir Kahn.

Garcia-Provodnikov is the potential unification fight if Ruslan can beat Alvarado.

It's a horrible fight, I hope it doesn't happen any time soon.

Who said he's out for a year? Lucas was very unlucky on the night.

I don't know why people still talk about Peterson like he's a contender, he's not actually very good at all and he's holding a title he doesn't deserve. First he cheated v Khan (and didn't win anyway), then he defended at 141 and got KO'd early yet somehow he still has the belt.

Highly doubt the rematch is happening. Garcia is a future Floyd opponent. Next fight will probably be a softer touch.

I just read the fighthype article, any chance we're going to see a Garcia v Khan rematch? winner fights Floyd?

Seems like your eliminating one of the two big events if they do that.

I don't believe Khan. I think the Floyd fight is done for May because Khan can't fight in September for religious reasons. Virgil Hunter even said that he would prefer to have the extra time to prepare for Mayweather rather than take an interim fight.
