He didn't ask Cotto because he said it isn't his busness but wondered who or how he trained for his fight with Trout. In a different video he said he overtrained and I totally believe that, at the end of the day Diaz worked with young guys the majority of his career. You simply can't push a guy who has been through the ringer like Cotto that much in camp. Not to mention Roach and George St. Pierre's strength and conditioning coach are now in Cotto's corner I'm sure they know some "legal roids" that will get Cotto back in shape.

I was one of the guys praising Diaz and I'm not saying he's a bad trainer but perhaps just inexperienced at the pro level. It's just different than amateurs and while Cuba has a surprisingly solid education program it simply isn't nearly as the US/Canada/Germany or any other big independent nation.
it's cotto....not diaz. diaz just secured rigo one of the biggest wins in boxing.

cotto is KNOWN for flip flopping trainers......he has a deep history of it. it's not the trainers it's cotto at this point..........

I think cotto comes back looking very solid , and working the body.

Even though ibthink delvin is better then most oeople think and is yough as nails.
He has the height , reach and he does have experience . This is the biggest fight of his life and i expect delvin to never give in and try and win every roundin a close fight he will lose . But he will get his in too .
      Tough fight for both guys

What if this fight turns out like the Vera-Chavez fight?

The way I see it, I don't think Cotto will fight more than three times, maybe two. If he loses on Saturday, which he shouldn't, I think he should retire. When a former elite fighter can't beat a solid, but inferior, fighter then it's time to reevaluate conditions.

This is one of those fights to test the waters, see what is left and how well the Cotto/Roach combo works. I don't see Cotto having another trainer for the remainder of his career. Either he keeps Roach for the last two or three times or he retires after this one.

Joe Santiago is a goat herder who hardly trained him

Dropping Steward ****** but he went with Diaz, and it really wasn't that successful of a pairing, and now he's w/ Roach. In a 12 year career, where 90% of it was with one trainer, I hardly call that a 'deep history'

Sounds pretty feminine to extrapolate it like that
