Is GGG best at 160? Or he is yet to beat Martinez and Barker?

How and why you brought Floyd into a discussion about 160lbers is beyond me.

Most GGG fans have no real interest in an FMJ fight and see his obvious career path as moving up to 168. And everyone knows that there is basically no chance of said fight ever happening.
I watched GGG in the olympics. so I knew about him well before this. I said "part of the reason" not the only reason. please read more carefully.

I brought him into the conversation because it seems several dozen posters use this as a variable to rank MW's. I find this preposterous.

      The above^

I respect Floyd as a fighter, and accept he is probably the greatest fighter of the era (Phaps alongside BHop), but I've always been more interested in the higher weight divisions. TBH I couldn't really give a damn if Floyd wins or loses, yet some posters can't seem to accept that there is a large part of the sport in which FMJ (or Pac) are simply not relevant.

Maybe you are just a GGG fan based solely on his body of work, but I think even you've noticed the above.
You must think that only because you read Floyd-related stuff. I have thought highly of GGG since before Felix Sturm repeatedly ducked him.

Try to think about the issue without thinking about Floyd. Just try.

I already conceded your point before. You seem easily able to discern the motivation for "floydstans" posts but can't for fellow "GGGstans". I still stand by what I say.

You might be one of the few posters who was big on GGG before, I don't recall saying you weren't. As such, you surely have noticed a surge in threads like this touting GGG as the #1 MW.

I think Golovkin is the best middleweight.

It's just a personal opinion. Some people think Terence Crawford is the best lightweight.

its not just a personal opinion. this isn't something like ATG or p4p. If thats the case, a poster could just say Quillin is. Yet whenever a poster dare suggest that, there is a huge backlash even though he and GGG have beaten about the same quality of fighter.

i can see where you're coming from BUT he can't beat him if Martinez won't fight him ... at what point where the champ just won't fight his biggest rival is it acceptable to say okay then ... this ducking can't go on for ever we have a new number 1 in town.

All I know is if GGG was fighting Martinez in next month I know who my money would be on

To be the champ he has to beat Martinez but to prove he is the best middleweight that is not really required although he has a lot of work to do to gain that sort of uncrowned champion tag.
