All punch stats, press row and top pudits had froch winning that fight..including me who was there live and I scored froch 4 rounds up.

So no one cares what some no mark from the hell hole from Chicago thinks on a fight hes probably never watched and every top pundit disagreed with...

But even if Froch doesn't avenge his loss to Ward, if he goes out of his way to fight top light heavies, wins and becomes lineal champ, he'd have achieved greatness. He'd have beaten almost all the relevant names in 2 weight divisions, that's a rarity in boxing.
That's a good point, but from what Froch has indicated he's not going to move up and that only really leaves Ward as the man to beat. I agree with you though, if he does move up and takes out a couple of names then he's right up there.

        Overrated.

By euro standards he's already an "ATG"

I think Froch will never get the credit he deserves.

It depends what is meant by 'great' I suppose? An ATG - no never, well, not without a ridiculously improbable series of victories including a top HW.

A 'great' for fighting and beating almost everyone at the top of his division? And defeating as you suggest, the recently crowned and relatively unproven LHW champ? No. That is not enough. Surely you can see that it's a flash in the pan in terms of boxing history or the even the Era.

Carl Froch fights as one of the lightest guys in his division. Through (apparently) sheer guts and determination, he wins fight after fight against the odds. When he appears about to lose, he grits his teeth and just goes on fighting 'til he wins. He is one of my favourite fighters and without a doubt has a 'great' heart dare I say say it, possibly an 'ATG' Heart.

In terms of achievement, however, Froch is likely to be forgotten within a coupla years of retirement. Sad, but realistic.

I wouldn't have him beating any of the guys you've mentioned.

Maybe Stevenson if he boxes clever.

I wouldn't go talking up Guerrero either, his best win at WW was Andre Berto and the Canelo fight was a 23 year old at a catchweight who had just one good win over Trout.

If Froch is a B level fighter, why is he on most pound for pound lists? He's No.5 on this very site. Like I said, if you're not in the ring with him you're not really qualified to assess his level of skill, look at the comments of those opponents that were.
Didn't you say only people with agenda's bring up weight?

Interesting you mentioned going down. A 160 run against Martinez and then Golovkin/Quillin?
I think he said something about meeting Martinez at a catchweight.

I doubt he could make 160 now but 164 or 165 he might.

I would rather him go up to 175 myself. He's better than the majority of fighters there IMO.
