Generally speaking in boxing if you can't have a relatively meaningful fight, fight someone you will look great against and Floyd would probably put an all time great beat down on Khan.

Watching highlite reel shit is usually cool, which is what a Khan fight would likely be full of. I would hope for a solid card to compliment it but they normally do that.
Highlight reels are for prospects. ATG fighters should be fighting top contenders especially when only fighting 2x per year. Is it too much to ask for to have Khan beat somebody in the top 10?

Seeing as he does the Harlem shake whenever a left hook lands, yes.

Go look at any atg fighter they had soft touches no matter how much they fought in a year. Especially when the landscape wasn't good.

If you don't have someone quality to fight, look good beating somebody up. It is not that big a deal~

Totally agree. He's the pound for pound best in the world is that hard to fight at least the other belt holders in the division? A khan fight without a top ten win at 147 is a joke.

Again. Is it too much to ask of Khan to at least beat somebody in the top 10 first?

ATG champions typically fought ranked contenders. And no, buying your way into the WBC welterweight rankings doesn't qualify.

Garcia deserves a shot at Floyd before Khan does.

If the fight is on CBS I'm all for it.

If they want to make it ppv, they better get Canelo vs. Cotto on the under card or else it's going to bomb.

I would like to see Mayweather make the fight in the UK with a nasty gate and make it PPV over there. If CBS can throw some big money for the TV fee and build a nice card around it we can see some history, I think 10 million+ is doable.

It would be the first time since 1995(Tyson vs. Mathis) that boxing had 10 million+ on network TV. If Mayweather really made 80 million+ for the Canelo fight he should throw his fan base a bone and expand his brand to network television, it could open up a lot of doors for boxing and Mayweather's brand.

Is he really fighting in the UK? Why would he fight in the UK on a Mexican holiday?

Unless they have Canelo/Cotto at the MGM the same day.

For what I am saying it doesn't matter Khan is a prop in that fight.

It doesn't mean anything other than a staying busy, a payday and likely some stuff for the career reel. Given the landscape now would be the time for that while something better builds.

It doesn't matter who Khan beats because he would get crushed one way or the other it doesn't change the fight. If you don't like the fight fine I can see that but your reasoning is meh~

So you don't care about the integrity of the sport. We just disagree. I feel title shots need to be earned. You just want to see Floyd show off his skills no matter the opponent.
