Khan is the only guy that can put butts in the seats and maybe Golden Boy feels with the right promotion they can drum up PPV interest in the states. They will probably play the fact that they can sell out a Wembley stadium to try and hype the fight.
Sucks for guys like Alexander and Garcia that deserve a shot over Khan, but like Floyd said they are prize fighters and there is no prize for fighting guys no one wants to see.
Alexander is the one guy I would really trash as an opponent. He is one of most boring fighters I have ever seen and would stink that fight up something bad.

I don't even think he deserves the fight more than Amir, they are both about the same level of "deserving", hence their fight being a Mayweather eliminator.

There is no way Pacquiao can spark him out.

Manny on the other hand been sparked out a couple times...
Pac has survive bigger hitters than Floyd... Plus Floyd did the stanky leg against grandpa Mosley...and Pac hits harder and faster than Mosley..

I'm pretty lenient on "who deserves the fight".

If your a top 5 guy in Floyd's division you earned the fight because its a legit title defense. That's how boxing works. This is still a professional sport you know?

Pac or Bradley (if he beats Marquez) are good fights. I don't like the Garcia fight but he's more deserving than Khan.

Fighters gets wobbled or do the stanky leg every time. Fact, Floyd has never been officially dropped on his ass before. Although, I don't think Floyd can KO Manny, but he'd make Manny respect his punching power and timing as every of his past opponents did.

Khan needs to beat Alexander. If he goes in now against Mayweather after his last few performances, he'll get beaten very easily. If he can prove himself against Alexander in his first fight at 147, Khan might be as ready as he'll ever be for a Mayweather fight.

I thought Mayweather was pretty much guaranteed a $30 million windfall every time he stepped into the ring when he inked the Showtime deal.

I'm not up on the contractual shit, stipulations, or incentives. Not the guys financial adviser.
