They were right about floyd/geuerrero, matthysse/garcia, floyd canelo just to name some recent ones. Seems like they are right 85% of the time

BoxRec doesn't wait foe negotiations to update their schedule. They base it off events

Probably based on some info related to Judah/Alexander negotiations.

It's only been two weeks since his last fight though. They might be right in a few months but but they're just guessing and it's obvious Floyd is gonna fight that weekend. There's only 2 choices as of today really

Since Mayweather became huge people have said ''it will be an entertaining fight'' quite often.

Mayweather v De La Hoya people said that it will be an entertaining fight.
Mayweather v Hatton people said that it would be an entertaining fight.
Mayweather v Marquez people said it'd be a miss match.
Mayweather v Mosley people said it would be an entertaining fight.
Mayweather v Ortiz people said it would be an entertaining fight.
Mayweather v Cotto people said it would be an entertaining fight.
Mayweather v Guerrero people thought it would be a mismatch.
Mayweather v Canelo people thought it would be an entertaining fight.

So in the last of Mayweather's 8 fights there are only 2 that people had 0 expectations for. Now you can argue that the fights failed to deliver, with the exception of the De La Hoya bout I would disagree, but the Khan fight could also fall into that category, after all Mayweather is known for neutralising his opponents.

Anyway I'm not interested in seeing Khan fight Mayweather, I'd rather see Khan fight an opponent on his level and I'd rather see Mayweather fight Garcia assuming he can collect a good win at Welterweight in time for a May fight.

I always wanted to watch Mayweather chop Khan up, don't know why really.

So I would personally like it, but I can understand those against it.

Beating Alexander wouldn't give Khan any more credibility or a better chance against Floyd.

Saying that, it is telling that they don't even want to risk Khan against someone like Devon. You're not 100% he beats Devon ****ing Alexander but you want to throw him in with Mayweather?

I'm surprised people are so upset about this fight. Floyd is simply not going to lose to anyone before retirement. Khan, Garcia, Thurman, Alexander, Broner, Cotto 2 - none of them have a chance of beating Mayweather, so does it really matter who he fights? He's on the cash-out tour, they're all dying to be part of the sweepstakes - the fights themselves will lack drama and intrigue.

It is what it is. There are tons of better fights that have and will be made. There is no need to get mad about who he fights, as there are simply no great challenges left that he could be fighting instead. And no, he shouldn't be expected to fight MWs.

If Showtime approves this crap it shows why he left HBO.

Despite this fight being ridiculous in regards to Khan not facing a contender before his meal ticket against Mayweather. I still think this will be an entertaining fight. Khan sucks..argue all you want, but he sucks, especially when compared to Mayweather. He also carries little to no power, so I honestly believe that this will be an Aesthically pleasing fight, and will end with a KO. Due to the forementioned FACTS, i think Mayweather will be comfortable taking more risks, and give the fans a solid entertaining performance for purists and casual fans alike.

Dissaprove strongly but Floyd may have no choice. Only the first fight of his Showtime deal was guaranteed and they aren't going to guarantee the guy another $35-40 million for another stinker like the Ghost fight which cost them millions.
Khan is the only guy that can put butts in the seats and maybe Golden Boy feels with the right promotion they can drum up PPV interest in the states. They will probably play the fact that they can sell out a Wembley stadium to try and hype the fight.
Sucks for guys like Alexander and Garcia that deserve a shot over Khan, but like Floyd said they are prize fighters and there is no prize for fighting guys no one wants to see.
