The boo's from the crowd, what was there of it, was all one needed to know.
Get ready to get your big boy pants on, Jr.
Vera fought a hell of a fight, and maybe deserved the nod.
Read what I just typed.
Vera.
Then he went on to whine to Lampley through a fucking interpreter.
I'm not one to calling somebody a bum.
But that was some bum ass shit Chavez Jr. pulled through this entire thing.
Carl Froch.
Please.
As a fat yank fan of yours.
Please come over here stateside, and beat the shit out of this clown.Comment

It seems there is always at least one insulting card on every boxing decision.Comment

Even 7-3 is pushing it, Vera's sheer volume was hard to ignore and it's not like Chavez Jr. was trying to avoid his shots. Vera landed clean and it was very easy to see. It's part of the sport and we all know what we saw tonight. Chavez Jr. will get his soon enough. I just hope Vera gets another opportunity and this time the deck isn't so thoroughly stacked against him.Comment

Overall, I still enjoyed the night of boxing. I saw 11 fights, including all undercards for Chavez-Vera and 2 from Stevenson-Cloud. The robbery at the end had to ruin it.Comment

I understand your point about you thinking it was a close fight (imo Vera won). However, I am more angry at the fact that Vera was never going to get a fair decision. He risks his health and is not even given a proper chance to win. The 98-92 shows (imo) that this fight was a sham. They should have just read the decision before the fight to save us from the frustration and save Vera from the punishment he took tonight.Comment

I'm glad that some folks here get it. If the score cards read 96-94 in Chavez I'd think it was a bad decision but I wouldn't call it a robbery. When you have the winner of the fight only winning 2 rounds, something foul is at play.
It is similar to the Rios v Abril fight where one judge had Rios winning 9 rounds when an argument can be presented for him winning 0.
The corruption is just blatant. Shit like you have to take the belt from a champion I can understand, and maybe even agree with in the sense that I'd feel sorry for a fighter who lost his belt due to numerous swing rounds. But just out in the open corruption? smh.Comment

Chavez Jr won 6-4. He landed the harder shots. I had it 5-4 Junior going into round 10, and Junior won round 10.Comment
