"He did what he had to do to win, bro". That's their way of justifying this.

Not only that but they're making reasons WHY he hit low all fight. The low blow that Garcia had a point taken from him there was NO head pulling, and it was the most obvious and debilitating one from the fight. Clearly intentional, and it has no room in the sport.

I think it's sad fans on here are letting this pass.

Seriously though, he's clearly wacking Lucas on the thighs repeatedly, without his head being touched at all on most of them. Either he has terrible accuracy or he's doing it on purpose. Being a pro boxer, he's doing it on purpose.

My beef is that it wasn't just one round, it started early from round 1, then continued in every round till the last round, which he landed a brutal low blow.

I like Danny, but there is no room in the sport for this ****.

With Hopkins helping him for this fight, I have no doubt that was part of his strategy to do it early and often, same as holding when Matthysse got close. Danny won and cong****. I just hope Lucas gets his rematch at some point.

I picked Danny Garcia to beat LM before the fight was even signed. With that said tho, its clear to me that the plan was to hit LM LOW. PERIOD!

If you watch some of those low blows in slo-motion, you'll see LM wasn't holding Danny's head. It was Danny who put himself in that position.

I was certain months before the fight that Garcia would beat LM... and I am just as certain after the bout that Garcia intentionally low blowed Matthyse.

With that said, DG also did good work with his boxing and he shouldn't have degraded his performance by being dirty.

Please, Cotto did against Zab and never against Pacquiao and Margarito when he had 0 legs. Cotto doesn't hit low when hurt period.

Like I said, in nowhere in this thread, apart from maybe 1 poster, are people not giving Garcia props his win. My beef is that it's clearly obvious this is part of the game plan from the opening bell. The last round in which he had a point deducted Danny claims his head was pulled down when it clearly wasn't. I don't see how you can be a fan of the sport and just completely ignore dirty fighting like this throughout the fight. Danny was warned at least 5 times before round 4.

I WAS a big GARCIA fan and made a thread on here how he was going to knock that overated Khan out. But after this it made me lose respect for him. I'm not a fan of fighters abusing the rules and disrespecting the sport.
