there's two things that could have happened....

that ko was a result of manny's exuberance and the the collision with force of marquez throwing the perfectly timed shot....

pacquaio had both feet off the ground.... at the point of impact.... that's a ko against anyone....

the more suspect knock down was the overhand right.... because marquez had landed similar punches in their previous bouts and not moved manny...

but the explanation for that is.... weight.... marquez outweighed manny on the official scales.... and in their previous bouts manny had always weighed more.... its the laws of physics.
I agree wih he first part of you post but the first kd was more because the position of Manny's feet. Manny stepped back with his lead foot almost heel to heel with his back foot squaring himself up in the process. JMM came around his guard with a big overhand right and manny went straight down. It was crazy but because Marquez had never dropped Manny before but I don't think Pacquiao was really hurt by that shot and it was more because he was totally out of position.
People bring up those same right hands that JMM landed in the other fights and that one in particular the that same over hand right from there first fight. Weight could be the the main reason. But that fight happened in 2004 and its really hard to say. Manny's chin just might not be what it was or maybe he his chin was just better at the lower weights. Nobody really knows its all speculation.
But facts are facts. And Manny made mistakes and was wreck less against Marquez in their forth fight and JMM made him pay dearly.

He put a guy he had fought three times and never knocked down on the canvas with a punch he has landed a hundred times and never done the same, and then knocked him out cold.

How is the su****ion not obvious? Either Pac's chin finally went or I think Marquez was juiced.

I've said this numerous times. Marquez has more KO's than manny not by much but one punch power doesn't mean anything it's the ability to stop a guy. For instance manny got credit or stopping cotto when too was in no danger at all in the teeth round moving ang avoiding danger. But Marquez when faced with a struggle from katsidas lit a match to him and stopped him.

PAC should stop rios but that's about styles. Marquez IMO will lose badly to bradley if he's still slow and bulky like he was against PAC.

Marquez is widly under-rated IMHO but that's because of some questionable decisions that he and his team have made and he doesn't speak much English especially before. In terms of counter punching and ring overall boxing kills in the last two decades I rank him only behind mayweather. I think he's on the same level as Hopkins and the little Puerto Rican kid Calderon. Not the washed up Calderon the prime guy. Mayweather, rigo, Marquez and Hopkins, then ward, Mickey Garcia, Moreno and maybe Gary Russell jr are all great pugilist. Lets see what the future holds.

JMM landed an absolutely perfect punch. Same thing when Manny iced Hatton. How about when Sergio flattened Paul Williams. Sometimes a fighter hits you in the right spot and it's over.

JMM also decided to sit down on his punches more. He focused on throwing powerful counters and got the desired result.

ohhh, okay...... well people question Pac for koing dudes as he got older and moved up in weight.
Only natural for people to question Juan doing it against a guy he couldn't do it against 3 previous times, let alone knock him down, and do it at his age at a heavier weight

Pac was always big, it's a myth that he's some small dude, when he was fighting at 130-135 he always rehydrated by 10 pounds or more.

Maybe Pac was finally off the juice so his chin was more susceptible to Juan's Power...

Or maybe he got caught with the perfect punch...

Or maybe he was really really sleepy right before the punch landed and used that as the perfect excuse for a nap...

Or maybe it's all speculation and ya'll should sit back until one of them fails a drug test.

You can just pretend Marquez hired a notorious self admitted PED supplier just to carry around his belongings while you boys willing to die to defend Floyd lil PED crusade.

So Pac is big because he was weighing around 147-148 at welterweight fight night vs other welterweights weighing 160 and above fight night?
