If memory serves me (other can feel free to correct me if I'm way off here since it's been a while) but Gatti weighed in for the fight but put on a ridiculous amount of weight by the next day, which is why the commision wanted to change the weigh in rule for the day of the fight that they couldn't exceed a certain weight. Like I said, I could be way off.

yes you are way off. at the time of the weigh in, the day before, gatti already weighed 160 for the weigh in.

gatti got on the scale and everyone saw he weighed too much and gatti jumped off the scale. everyone looked around. gamache's trainer tried to speak up and this commissioner dude told him to shut up and quit trying to cause a scene.

then the fight, gatti gave gamache injuries for life. this was the new york state athletic commission, the same one that wont let joe mesi fight or wouldnt let mike tyson fight. they pretend to have morals but they are full of crap.

I guess I'm way off. Heh, good to know though. I wouldn't as much call it a ***** move on Gatti as it is on his people and the athletic commission.

yeah but gatti could have shown discipline and weighed correctly in the first place. that is the point.

dont get me wrong i like arturo gatti. he made a mistake, it happens. he shouldve had to pay for it, but whatever, it is old news now. just shows what these commissions are like though.

people talked bad to me tonight because i wasnt impressed with gatti's performance. im just used to seeing him a lot better against such mediocre opposition.

I'm wondering the same thing.... Apparently Damgaard was winning the fight and it was a bogus TKO? Hah. The most rounds Damgaard won was 3-4 rounds(that's be generous), and he was holding and hitting and deserved that point off. THere was nothing bogus about tonight except a sheltered fighter who got dominated by a light welterweight.

You're the best man. Thanks in advance . Don't know if you've seen Mayol fight but i tell you Rodel is a tall fighter at 105. He has technichal skills better than any pinoy fighters around including pacman or boom or boom and he's got pops on both hands.
