Right. He should stay at 140 and fight Cano for six figures when there's potentially an eight figure payday waiting on at 147.

As for JMM, he's an Arum fighter. Which means a fight with he and Danny can't be made.

What I mean by that is there comes a time where your speed will be neutralized. Danny knew he couldn't outbox Khan so he pressured Khan even without punching looking for the perfect counter, and he succeeded. He doesn't examine the damage that he's caused. Everything is hype, hyper, hyper. Not flat footedness when needed to sit behond a jab. You can't fight like that for 12 rounds. Punch, punch, clinch or push your head down.

Roach used to have to tell him to slow down and relax He just continues to fight the same way, and in boxing against a guy like Danny, you won't beat him by throwing 100 punches a round. He needs to jab more if he wants to last in this sport. More jabs, more feints. He has the tools to beat Danny, but he doesn't have the smarts to beat Danny.
Khan is what he is as a fighter. The only reason I would be interested in a rematch with Garcia is because I'm a person that never assumes the KO or even KDs. And in a 12rd fight with no KDs, I think Khan would best Garcia. I broke away from that way of thinking for Garcia-Matthysse and ended up picking the fight wrong with everyone else. I knew Garcia was a better boxerm but I felt Matthysse's chin was better and he hit harder. But when the KD didn't come, he wasn't capable of beating Danny. Plus, Angel was very quick to put it out thre that they didn't want to rematch Khan. I kinda felt like he knew Danny caught lightening in a bottle and wanted to move on.

And it's not like Garcia was perfect. He fought a shaky uncertain fight. He hesitated too much. He was sloppy. He allowed Matthysse to dictate far too often and in the process got nailed with some monster shots. Thank goodness for him he was facing one of the most overrated fighters in boxing history.

Professional boxing is a busniss, which is why its caled prize fighting. Garcia is the leader in the clubhouse for what is boxing's version of a winning Powerball ticket. There isn't one logical argument that should be made against him cashing it in.

As for the "boxing" aspect of your argument. Danny just beat the biggest threat to his 140 title. That was the biggest fight in that division. Its all downhill from there. Time to move on to bigger and better things.

Hit, he hurt him in the 3rd, and finished him in the 4th. Khan was starting to get countered, and eventually he did. This wasn't a late stoppage, it was an early stoppage. If Khan had Danny's brain, he finishes Danny. Khan is just not a smart fighter.

Your faith in Khan is strong considering he got blasted out in 4 rounds. Sure he caught Garcia with some good punches but in no way did Garcia act like he was in any trouble. He just kept pressing the action allowing Khan to open up. Khan ain't no threat. He is not a fighter who uses his head and adjust to win. When he is in trouble he goes out and tries to swing his way out. Garcia has Khan and Matthysse #'s. Khan ain't beating Danny and I'm standing by that.

I agree, which is why I think Danny beats Matthysse even worse in a rematch. Lucas carried a very much unwarrented aura of invincibility into that fight and Danny had way too much respect for him. Danny comes into a rematch full of confidence knowing he's the better man and likely beats up Lucas, maybe even stops him.

If they fight, I'm picking Garcia via stoppage. But I would be very intrigued to see if Khan could prolong the early success he had in the first fight, and wouldn't be completely in shock if he could. That's all I'm saying. But Garcia clearly enters the ring a solid favorite.
