The problem Canelo doesnt have the stamina to implement this game plan over the course of a long fight, plus if you go at and stalk Cotto please believe you wont come out unscathed bloody and battered, Margarito, Manny and even Floyd found this out, with Canelo sitting on the ropes taking punishment in the Floyd match basically quitting, is he built for that type of war...................
Clottey was able to pressure Cotto behind his shell, block his shots, and use an economical attack to get to MC whenever he chose to open up. Canelo, at his best, is a defensive pressure fighter... This loss to Mayweather will help him and his team realize that. If he does, he should be able to dominate Cotto behind a patient, defensive, jab, and counter-punching approach. Canelo suffers from mental lapses though, so I can see Cotto barely pulling it out by winning the majority of the rounds despite getting beat up in the rounds he loses.

        Canelo would beat Cotto.

Why are you guys kidding yourselves? Cotto has been in many wars, ya hes a veteran but Canelo is a young and hits hard. Cotto is a good guy and deserves a last pay cheque. He has nothing left to proove

the clottey fight wouldn't be even close if it wasn't for that headbutt

people always cry about how lucas would've won if his eye was fine and Cotto eye was worse but no one cares

Why for? this is PPV material all by it self, it could easely make 800k PPVs and I know De la Holla/schaefer know this.

Canelo already showed he has quite a beat of following plus the Rivalry between Mexico vs Puerto Rico neds no promotional propaganda with this two guys.

I felt Cotto lost 7-5 and Canelo lost 8-4(+1)

SN: Not to mention the open scoring which Canelo won rounds when he wasnt moving his hands, canelo then got on his bicycle knowing he would win by any means as long as he didnt get put down or dropped. Trout then had to shift his strategy from jabbing his head into trying to stalk and drop the bigger man, which caused him to get dropped. The Canelo fight was frivolous and should have a * cause of the circumstances......
Let me remind you Trout beat Cotto soundly, so this Cotto did better, canelo beat trout dont work styles make fights and I pick Canelo to beat Cotto Soundly.

I'd pick cotto beat Canelo only because Canelo thinks he's a master boxer and he's not a pressure fighter at all .. That was his downfall against mayweather , the clown tried to outbox him all night when he was saying you gotta have a plan A , b and c for him and throughout the fight he never did switch it up .. I think cotto has more balls than Canelo personally .. Money is the G.O.A.T right now without a doubt ... He made me a believer

I didn't think trout out skilled cotto by any means , cotto was a victim of his height and reach period .. Trout stayed on the outside all fight and didn't let cotto in .. Cottos downfall at 154 is his height at 5'5 .. Built like a tank but too short for that division

                    LOL!

                    Canelo makes Cotto QUIT!

Cotto is not an elite fighter. He's a gatekeeper at this point in his career.

Cotto cannot beat the following fighters (willing to put money on it):

                    Canelo
                    Danny Garcia
                    Lucas Matthyse
                    Angulo
                    Lara
                    Pacquiao
                    Rios
                    D Alexander

The only decent fighter I see Cotto beating these days is Amir Khan. LMAO!

I have no idea how you can favor someone who has only 1 good fight in his career, a fight that he barely won. Yes, Trout beat Cotto and Canelo beat Trout, doesn't mean Canelo beats Cotto, that analogy is bogus.
