Floyd and Rigo are very similar. Both defensive minded, both about countering, both about winning the round.
There are subtle differences in their styles, sure. But let's not forget who was a more formidable opponent. Donaire > Canelo.
No, Floyd landed more punches in the first half than Rigo threw the entire fight he can only do one thing while Floyd is way more versatile and has no real holes , difference if Donaire lands a punche here and there in the round he'd have won a lot more while Canelo was no where near a couple punches from winning rounds the level of offensive capability isn't that close

Difference was Floyd is the champ in the Canelo fight and Rigo was the challenger in the Donaire fight. Go figure.

        Absolutely correct.

Rigo has 1 quality win,has been down multiple times, and is a KTFO waiting to happen.

I don't think they fought the same at all. Mayweather was much more aggressive.

The thing is that Floyd is the best self salesman in sports today and has sold what may seem like a boring boxing style to casual boxing fans into a proverbial puzzle or rubix cube; "Who will be the 45th victim to fail at cracking the Mayweather puzzle? With this tactic, he has taken a style that many perceive as boring and made people appreciate the skill and art of the sweet science. Hit and don't get hit. Even with a similar style and skill, Rigo is a Cuban who only speaks Spanish and cannot sell himself outside the ring to the American public the same way Mayweather or Broner can. Unfortunately that's the nature of the business.
in another words, they are some idiots hat buy anything...

Why can't you appreciate great "boxing" (in the sense of potshotting, countering etc) but find it more boring than a slugfest? I don't understand your view

I'm pretty sure nearly everyone appreciates a pure boxer, but just because they find it boring doesn't mean they are any less of a fan...

Only casual noobs think those 2 fights were boring. Learn something you tools not every fight has to be slugfest to be called a good fight.

Mayweather stayed in the pocket more, simple as that. Both were dominating performances but Mayweather chose to do it in a casual-fan-friendly way.

Wasn't Rigondeux chasing Donaire towards the end of the fight? If anyone was trying to make it a fight it was Rigo, Donaire felt Rigo's power and started running. lol

Not sure why people started pretending Rigo was a boring fighter after the Donaire fight. The guy is a master boxer who knows how do damage; Donaire was the only guy he didn't drop.

You have to mention that ginger is not the fighter nonito is, so just in quality Rigondeaux performance is much better than FMJ if we comparing adversaries.
