Well, he wanted a prime Mosley in 1999 and Sugar turned him down. Then he wanted Shane in 05-06, and Sugar turned him down.

He actually wanted to. Arum offered Shane to meet Floyd at catchweight. Mosley rejected, however.

There aren't many fighters I'd give a chance of beating Mayweather. But Mosley circa 2000 would be on a short list of fighters who I think have a chance

@135 Mosley was a tank! That would be a great fight. Pretty Boy was more offensive minded when he was younger too, so that fight would've been great. I'd favor Floyd, but not too heavily. 55-45

At no point in their respective careers did I ever see Shane beating Floyd. Especially at the smaller weights.

                      Better defense=Floyd
                      Better offense=Shane

to bad they didn't fight on even terms but Floyd prefers to wait for the dominate ones to age or pick on hand picked lightweights and kids!

When they did fight you saw Floyd get rocked twice and the first time he was hurt bad!! To his credit he survived but a prime Shane will get to Floyd because his skills are superior to anyone that Floyd ever fought plus Shane has the will to win that the lastest Floyds opponents don't embrace!
I like Shane over Floyd because Shane can make Floyd fight and thats when the offensive fighter has an edge!
Floyds current opponents can't make him fight so he does what he does best and counter moves and counter punches and doesn't get hit much. He also doesn't land much anymore its pretty much one punch at a time. Thats why he's a bore! Shane vs Floyd would be both at their best! Shane would make it so!
