Conditioning doesn't just help improve stamina. It helps take a shot, recovery from a shot better, he was stronger, hit harder & it allowed him to be more explosive without overreaching. He gassed in the Bradley fight, he looked sloppy as hell vs Marquez.
I don't really see the difference in skillset Roach has made particularly. Hes still the same fighter in terms of ability he was before apart from his fans claim his right hand is better, this & that.

If it was all down to Roach then you'd expect Manny to of looked decent in one fighter after, same with Khan etc etc

09-11 was a frustrating time listening to how Pacquaio "Can now finally throw a right hook" and has all these supposed improvements. As far as I'm concerned, Pacquaio against Marquez in 08 was as good as any Pacquaio in regards to skills.

Yes of course S&C is important in ALL sports but it does absolutely NOTHING were defense, counter punching and overall technical boxing skills are concerned. To take credit away from Roach is just laughable and falls on deaf ears to those in the know but the Alex groupies will live on..the world is filled with self proclaimed experts and legends in their own mind. Fact is Roach did a SPECTACULAR job with Manny and the rest of his stable but as the law of gravity clearly states "What goes up must come down" and that applies to Champion Fighters as well...Remember Ali, Frazier, Tyson to name a few? not to mention a fighters age plus wear and tear.

There is no doubt Marquez is a stylistic nightmare for Manny I just feel the guys not looked as good without Ariza and the same with many others.

In fact I feel Marquez looked a bit sluggish in the forth fight myself. I don't want to take anything away from him just felt he didn't look quite as sharp as usual but I guess hes getting on at 40 and its to be expected.

Umm no, after the Marquez 3 manny and Alex Agreed they need to go back to doing the routine like before. Remember manny was complaining about having cramps. In the Marquez 4 fight manny was suppose to be in spectacular shape. Stop making excuses!! Ariza did little for PAC and just came along for the ride. As soon as PAC lost, oh it's roach fault. I'm sure roach is also at fault but the best s/c wouldn't be able to help PAC from that ko shot.
