This talk is a testament to how great Floyd is lol smh, middleweights, super middleweights, light heavyweights, what's next? lol
You do not get to spin this in Floyd's favor, dimwit.

Not unless he can fatten up himself and face Hopkins for the Light-Heavyweight Championship.

This would actually be a testament to a 49 year old Hopkins, not Mayweather.

My big point from the beginning was- if someone thinks Floyd should fight the legend B-Hop or Sergio at 160..... I don't see how they could justify Floyd not fighting Golovkin. The unknown name thing doesn't make sense, because who the hell is Victor Ortiz?

Fair enough, though. I guess we just have to wait and see how it plays out.
The reason is due to the risk/reward ratio!!

Martinez PPV at 157 catchweight is a historical superfight and one that ESPN & Sports Illustrated would be covering with great intensity for casual sportsmen.

GGG doesn't have nearly the risk/reward ratio as a title match with Martinez does and you damn well know it.

Mayweather vs. Martinez PPV is a one and done in my opinion and the catchweight of 157 pounds makes it very plausible because there would be range for a subsequent 154 bout versus Bradley without much hardship to Mayweather's metabolism

And do you understand that no matter what Floyd's weight, he will come into the ring healthy and comfortable, while the other guy (in this case Hopkins) would not be anywhere near healthy or comfortable.

So while Floyd would have an obstacle in defeating a much bigger man, Hopkins would be handicapped coming into that fight.

This doesn't make a lotta sense to me. According to this logic, if old ass George Foreman came back and whipped up on Rigondeaux, it would be a great testament to him.

Epic brain fart by Hopkins here.
I understand that idiots here could take this seriously but Bhop himself, damn.
Greed blinding common sense and logic.
The very idea of this nose dives boxings already shaky credibility.

I hope B Hop is kidding. That fight would do terrible business and no matter how it turned out it would be a no win situation for Mayweather big time. I remember there was some talk once about B Hop fighting Paul Williams after Pavlik backed out for the second time and I think B Hop and his team rethought things and it didn't come off. B Hop should try to figure out how to beat Chad Dawson because he made B Hop look really old when they fought. Mayweather would do him so much worse imo.
