No way this is true. Danny has the leverage, why would he sign up to fight a guy he already beat (a very formidable guy as well) and not take a moment to consider his options. There are bigger fights at 147 that would pay him way more.
They are still counting the receipts from last weekend, not way Golden Boy and Garcia's team have had a chance to sit down and talk business much less hammer out a deal for a rematch that fast.

Why did Morales rematch Barrera? Why did he rematch Pacquiao? Why did Pacquiao rematch Marquez? Why did he rematch Barrera? Why did Rafa rematch Izzy? Why did Izzy rematch Rafa? Why did Ward rematch Gatti?

Matthyse absolutely does deserve a re-match, but the narratives have been written and people would rather see inferior fights for some reason. We got a bunch of non-paid business advisers on this site.

I call it clear because Matthysse went down himself in order not to take anymore punishment(while in a bad position)..The excuses are ridicules here...IMO Garcia won this fight clearly,you may not agree and that's fine..A rematch right away is pointless imo tho..

Garcia landed 24% of his shots over the first half of the fight whereas Matthysse had landed 36% of his shots (ended up landing 36% overall). I think Lucas also outlanded him by 22 punches during the first 6 rounds. Garcia definitely made the right adjustments and came through in the clutch by busting up Matthysse's eye and getting the knockdown. I had 4-2 Matthysse through 6 though.

I think it was closer than you make it seem, but as you said to each his own. It does look like the judges and many boxing experts/writers (for what it's worth) had it fairly close.

I can give Matt's in total 4 rds..I really can't see 5 or 6 rds in total,I also only seen the fight live and did not get a chance to watch it back yet..Live in the moment,I thought Garcia left no doubt..

No way this fight happens next. Garcia is not going to risk his guaranteed 4 million paycheck for a Maywether fight in next May. After he loses to Floyd and Mathysse beats a guy or two they might have the rematch at the end of 2014.

I doubt it really happens. Once Danny Garcia gets the Floyd call, no way this happens. I'm not against a rematch, but Danny won clearly and handily, though it was a close fight and competitive. But have a rematch in a year or two.

Anyways, I find it funny people think the champion has to give the challenger a rematch, even though the decision isn't even remotely in question.
