I thought it was a good card, except Smith-Molina which nearly put me to sleep. Anyone who actually paid $75 for it probably needs their head examined though.
They sold us short, us fans deserved more.

There are fighters that are very successfull that I won't drop a dime on! If I don't like their style I won't watch them its as simple as that. It doesn't mean I don't unerstand their success or think that others should agree with me but if I'm not excited to watch them I don't!
To me, Hopkins, Floyd and Wlad to a lesser extent are boring fighters who are promoted as a great fighters to a current culture that does't understand the difference between a boxer who takes no chances and a boxer/puncher who forces the fight to be exciting!
I prefer an offensive fighter who brings the fight to his opponent.
Not everyone can do that their as rare today as an outstanding defensive boxer! The very best are the men who do both!!! Ray.
No one would advise a team that was ahead to play ******ly to try and lose. No one would advocate a wrestler, golfer, tennis player etc to take unnecessary risks when ahead just to please fans. They would ask the team or opponent that is losing to step up and play better.
But floyd is supposed to throw away a win? Shouldn't his opponent try harder to win and, in doing so, risk likely get KTFO or beat enough that he will quit on the stool or the ref will stop? Its the reason Hatton got KO'd while Ghost and Canelo didn't.
NSB posters really need to cease this level of biased ******ity. If you want to see floyd KO someone, tell his next opponent to keep punching and risk getting starched rather than accepting losing.Comment

for me, the only real surprise was garcia/matthysse....
floyd is floyd... we all KNOW what he brings to the table... so in my mind, canelo failed us this fight. the same way donaire failed us against rigo.
you cant outbox or out-think floyd... so i dont understand why these opponents ALWAYS attempt to do so.... the ONLY person who "beat" floyd was castillo. a SOLID boxer who relentlessly brought it to floyd for 12 rounds. IMO, thats the blueprint. WORK for 12 rounds & hope the judges appreciate your work.
even faded oscar knew to keep pressing the action & was able to keep it close.... same with cotto.... canelo gassed out EXACTLY how most of us predicted he would, ESPECIALLY carrying that extra weight. all those feints didnt do **** when floyd jabbed him at will. canelo was simply too slow & reluctant. IMO, canelo thought too much & got his will taken away too easily.
great win for floyd. he is finishing up his career beautifully.Comment

Arakawa you mention three sports that have the complete opposite scoring system of boxing. In tennis, you go get your points until you reach your quota. In golf you have to be aggressive and keep playing as though you are behind. In wrestling, you do the same, keep playing until you reach the point limit. All three sports have a definitive scoring system. There is no judges that gauge your shots in golf or tennis. The best in tennis and golf are aggressive players who take risk; Tiger Woods and depending on you like Djokovic, Nadal or Federer.Comment

Floyd didn't really hurt Alvarez imo, he boxed well. The problem is that most of the top p4p guys aren't fighting enough... most people aren't interested in the guys outside of the Mayweathers, alvarez's, Garcia's. Bradley's, Marquez's, Pacquiao's, Broner's etc and they're not fighting enough, I'm not interested in the other non elite suckers, and rightly so, who gives a **** about the Carlos Molina's and Ishe Smith's of the boxing world? They suck.Comment

the problem is ppl buy floyds fights hoping to see him get koed and beat and when it doesn't happen, its his fault for not allowing himself to be put in that position. its them most shildish, immature **** ever. and that's why boxing fans are probably the worst fans in all of sports.Comment
