what the hell is up with these boxing journalists?

I go to boxingscene.com and see articles like "Mayweather dominates Canelo"
    "Garcia beats up Matthysse"

I saw both those fights too, that's pretty far fetched to call Mayweather dominating Canelo, Mayweather won and deservedly so - but he didn't dominate anyone. most rounds he won by landing 3 more jabs, jabs with nothing behind them. Canelo slipped and rolled the majority of Mayweather punches all night long, Mayweather slipped and rolled pretty much all of Canelos.

That fight was a technical show down and Mayweather edged him. He didn't dominate ****. The MD didn't shock me at all.

As for Garcia vs Matthysse? Garcia ran the majority of the night while Matthysse tried to make it a fight. Once again I'd edge the fight to Garcia, but let's see a rematch. Take away Mattysse's bad luck and give him a few rounds for actually making this a fight, and I'd see it going in his favor, he's the better boxer.

I will say though, Garcia taking those punches from Matthysse was pretty impressive.

Canelo would be lucky to win 2 rounds. Mayweather landed double the percentage that Canelo did, winning my 3 jabs my ass. You are just another butt hurt mexican who cant be honest.

          1. Journalism 101, catch the attention of the reader. What makes for a more interesting title ''Mayweather dominates Canelo'' or ''Mayweather decisions Canelo''; ''Garcia beats up Matthysse'' or ''Garcia wins against Matthysse''.

          2. Mayweather did dominate Canelo, it'd be hard to find one round to give Canelo. That is a domination.

          3. Garcia did beat up Matthysse. If someone came out of a fight looking like Matthysse you would not say anything else. His eye was swollen shut and he was caught with crisp hard punches throughout the fight.

Why when a favorite fighter on this website loses, people site luck as part of the reason for their loss. News flash getting your eye shut in a fight is not luck. It was a tough fight for both men and Danny won clearly.

Why do you believe Matthysse is the better boxer?

              Both are true

              Mayweather dominated Canelo

              Garcia beat up Matthysse

Garcia - Matthysse was a lot closer than the new found Garcia fandom are pretending it was, but Garcia beat him up for quite a few rounds

I think that was the point... No luck

In the end, u can't really train to swell someone's eye unless u train to sneak a thumb in there... Just like the Khan KO Garcia deserves full credit for throwing the right punch at the right time to get the result, but people get punched in the face all the time without anything swelling, than one fight out of nowhere his face gets puffy... Its not like he was landing clean shot after clean shot, e.g. a Pacquiao performance

lucas nose, eye, and entire right part of his face was badly swollen.

his eye was closed shut, he was also dropped in the fight..........the guy was beaten up but fought well for himself. still was beaten up though...........

& canelo vs mayweather was domination............

                  both statements are true..........

Honestly, every time Danny landed his hooks and jabs where do you think they were landing. This was not bad luck. It happens in the sport when you get punched in the face often. Also, Matthysse corner didn't use an enswell so they couldn't slow the swelling or reduce it. That played a major factor. Danny landed a few clean, flush shots each round and those punches took a toll on Matthysse's face. Again this wasn't bad luck or no luck. This also wasn't the first time Matthysse's face has swollen up before either. It's just a common trend on here to add luck as a factor in an unexpected win. Danny won because of a great game plan. Stop with the luck talk.
