Honestly, every time Danny landed his hooks and jabs where do you think they were landing. This was not bad luck. It happens in the sport when you get punched in the face often. Also, Matthysse corner didn't use an enswell so they couldn't slow the swelling or reduce it. That played a major factor. Danny landed a few clean, flush shots each round and those punches took a toll on Matthysse's face. Again this wasn't bad luck or no luck. This also wasn't the first time Matthysse's face has swollen up before either. It's just a common trend on here to add luck as a factor in an unexpected win. Danny won because of a great game plan. Stop with the luck talk.

It happens in boxing sure, but u can't act like its guaranteed... How come he didn't swell anyone else's eye before this fight? Or why didn't Matthysse's eye swell in his wars with Soto and Ajose? Or even in this fight? The swelling happened in a matter of seconds, it wasn't a build up of rounds

Danny just threw the right punch at the right time, caught Matthysse at the right angle and caused swelling... Good luck for Garcia, bad luck for Matthysse

I gotta admit I was wrong about the outcome of the Lucas-Garcia fight, but damn were there some over the top posts prior to the announcement of their bout.


If I could go back and quote each and every one of them I would but they know who they are. Lucas is still one of my favorites and I think he does better in the rematch but Danny proved me wrong and clearly won the fight. A lot of respect to the man.

Yeah, I re-read over what I said and forgot to add the word "significant" between the words "1" and "before"... He only landed 1 significant left hand before the swelling... Everything else was insignificant stuff in clinches and during blurry exchanges

This is what's funny about you... You guys r so quick to draw the "butt-hurt" card, u don't actually pay attention to the point of people try to say... What I was saying was, you can't train to swell someone's eye. Especially in this case, cause other than one fight prior, which was a long time ago, Matthysse didn't have a history of swelling that Garcia could count on... He got lucky, threw the right punch at the right time, and swelled his eye... Unless there was a thumb involved, Garcia couldn't have possibly done it on purpose... If its not done on purpose, that means its done by accident, that means he was lucky it worked out for him...

Can u really argue against that? As a Garcia fan, the best u can do is not pay attention to it like most of the other ones... But I got a feeling you're better than that
