i thought lucas was gonna take this. KO would have been interesting. not much of a fan but danny did GREAT though, 140 king.

IMO, danny did what he needed to do to win... simply put. it wasnt pretty (clenched excessively, low blows, etc)... but hey, thats some cagey veteran type of tactics he was pulling off in the ring. and once he saw lucas getting frustrated, he stepped on the gas.

i expected more from lucas, he has been in there with superior boxers with faster hands & quicker reflexes... danny doesnt dazzle by any means but his timing is excellent.

Danny won the fight. It was closer than many are making it seem though. Lucas' corner was pretty incompetent as well. They should have been able to take care of the eye. Lucas lost all the momentum he was building. But still it was a good fight. Both fighters showed a lot. I think Lucas and a lot of other people underestimated Garcia.

It was a close, back and forth fight. Mathhysse got hit perfect on the eye to make it swell, and lost all of his steam. This is boxing, **** happens. And even then Matthysse came back, won the 10th, was winning the 11th, until that odd KD.

Good fight, deserves a rematch, Garcia won fair and square (besides the low blows).

On the same argument if Lucas would had kept openning up he might had gotten hit more or possibly KOed. You can't play devil's advocate and assume that if his eye wouldn't had swollen he would had done better

Danny schooled him, the first 2-3 rounds were tense and shaky for Danny. After that he blocked a lot of the punches and fired up nasty combinations. Are we pretending you didn't predict a nasty KO by Lucas OP? And that people thought Danny was going on a stretcher after the fight (lmao).

Look at Garcia's face after the fight, he literally took more damage against Judah. His eyes closing up is from Danny's precise and powerful punches, no different to Pacquiao against Marg.


First it was Danny was scared, then the fight was signed and now its his fans that were scared.

I'm not even a big fan of Danny too, but his hate is undeserved. The guy has done nothing but fight fighters people say that were going to KO and beat him. But instead they jump on the first bandwagon of a guy who has been knocking out people.

No, it doesn't deserve a rematch. Garcia handled Lucas and showed how good he really is. As someone that picked Lucas to win I have to give Garcia lots of due credit. You can make all the excuses you want, Garcia was the clear winner.
