and i love this fight for mares, i knew this would be his next fight. he got caught by a fierce punch in the first round of a fight, happens. mares got this.
Top Rank has been giving crappy cards for YEARS! Arum is not even trying anymore, he knows he is a old and rich man, also selfish so it's not like he wants to leave his kids and grand kids something.
    Dude is 80 afterall.

The best fight that they gave in recent history was Rigondeaux Vs Donaire, but that undercard was normal. Also it could be that Top Rank just doesn't have the stable of boxers to make those type of fights.

Man see. This is what we get when we keep searching for "the next ppv star". This is bull$h!t. Broner should not be headlining $h!t on ppv **** this card. Overlord of stream shall return.

I think it's a little too soon for this. But if anyone can come back Mares will. He has the skills to make the adjustments and take out Gonzalez. He's gotta prepare because those bombs will be coming his way again. Mares is a warrior and is taking huge risk after just getting ktfo.

I am sure Mares went back and watched the fight and see's the mistakes he made. He underestimated his opponent and got caught with a great shot. I think a focused Abner Mares takes care of business in a rematch.
Would be a good card, not sure if PPV worthy but something I would want to watch for sure...

his should b the main, nit the foul-mouthed, crude Broner... Jhonny gets the big $$$ fight, finally, he deserves it...Mares must make eal adjustments but Jhonny's punch will always b there & Abner knows it...2 bad it's ppv, I won't pay 4 broner...

if mares improves his defense and fights more cautiously he could probably win by a close decision...if he hasn't learned anything then he probably gets ko'ed again maybe in the later rounds this time...

it had more to do with arum being the king of the promotional game, since like forever.

                what an assumption, champ.

it's this coupled with the fact that arum doesn't like spreading the money around with other promoters. thankfully martinez / chavez jr got done, though.

My sentiments exactly. Broner-Maidana is not worth a PPV at all in my opinion.

If Mayweather vs Canelo NEEDED Garcia vs Matthysse to avoid losing another 12 million, I bet they will throw this on the Broner vs Maidana ppv.
