Catchweights happen all the time and most people don't give a ***. But people have to talk about it because it's Floyd and he said all that stuff about pacquiao before.
The only people making it a controversy are the pac fringe fans and non floyd fans who figure its a way to take credit away from floyd should he win. Their agenda has become oooh floyd you're a hypocrite so I don't have to give you credit if you win because you didn't give manny any. Uhhh ok.

I think it's valid to point-out a catch-weight when it needs to be. Pacquiao did it more than once over his career but so has Floyd and one of the fights he just paid a penalty, which made Marquez ****** as he wanted/needed the money. Broner did the same thing as well. It's apart of the game and as fans, we have a right to be a critic to the fighter. Overall, Canelo accepted and I wont be surprised if Canelo comes in at 151 just to mess with Floyd's mind, as if... "I can take your catch and throw it back at you."

        Absolutely. I think it's bs.

Who cares about the damn catchweight of two measly pounds? The fight is happening, people should just be happy about that.

But everyone knows that people will bring up the weight factor when Floyd has beaten him. The same people completely dismiss the ODLH weight factor for Pac.

        Now that's hypocritical.

Stephen A and Skip Bayless are completely clueless. Not just in boxing, but in everything under the sun that requires any type of rational opinion.

              What else is new?

If it's BS why was it negotiated in? Obviously it has importance to at least one of the sides otherwise it wouldn't even be there.

That wasn't the bs I was referring to.

I meant to say it was bs to discredit floyd for fighting a guy 2 pounds below his normal weight. I just couldn't care less.

A lot of people fight at catchweights, and people don't say anything - but when Floyd does it, people talk about.

It's only controversial because it's floyd.
