        Common misconception.
Discovery Channel proved the myth about fat people having low metabolism wrong many years ago. It turned out that fat people had, in average, 4-5 times higher resting metabolism than skinny people.
About 0,5 % of people have a disease where metabolism is affected in a noticeable way.

The conclusion was as simple as it should be; fat people are fat because of the high intake of calories compared to the amount of calories burned.

how much muscle do you think he has added?

he weighed in at 150 for the DLH fight and 151 for the Miguel fight. Will we see him weigh in at 152 for this one?

The structure of a persons body, specifically in regards to there ratio of lean muscle mass vs fat has a large effect on there resting metabolic rate. During exercise, two people both weighing 200 pounds, one has a higher percentage of muscle mass, the other has a higher percentage of fat, they both can burn the same amount of calories during exercise. However when they are at resting heart rate the person with the leaner body mass will burn calories at a higher rate than the person with a higher fat percentage.

Another example of body structure is the three body types, ectomoprh, mesomorph and endomorph. An ectomoprh (very tall) will have a larger weight contribution to bone mass among other things, thus, there BMR (resting metabolic rate) will be higher.
Can't trust this information because you can't spell. You're getting their and there wrong a lot. Doesn't fill me with confidence.

Butterbean weighs probably 100+ pounds more than Mayweather, he would have a higher resting metabolic rate than Floyd by far, simply because he has much more weight to sustain each day (requires more calories) and his muscle and bones have much more strain on them from the huge amount of fat he carries around (requires more calories).

I told you metabolism is useless to be compared to as good or bad.

              I think you're legitimately ******ed.
Disgusted with your last comment. It also makes no sense.

Add something of worth or don't bother. You can't trust what I said because you either a) don't understand it, or b) have nothing to actually dispute it.

                I'll wait.

I don't understand your legitimately ******ed comment. Explain.

Sounds to me like something a teenager would say. I therefore choose to disregard your comments kid.

but fat people have faster metabolisms.

If you weigh more or have more muscle mass, you will burn more calories, even at rest. So overweight people are more likely to have a faster metabolic rate — not a slower one.

I don't think you read what I wrote.

2 people, same weight, one muscle, one fat, the one with the muscle will burn more at rest, physiology 101.
