Anyway, I'll explain it short and simple.

Genes are what make up your body type and structure. Your genes decide whether you have a higher percentage of bone weight/density than others, they also decide how tall or short you are, your muscular structure and other things. Your metabolism is a combination of all these things and more, thus, your genes are directly related to what your metabolic rate will be (higher or lower compared to others).

You can not have a "better" metabolic rate than someone else in regards to a comparison, because your metabolic rate is specific to you, your lifestyle and everything which you are created from. It's useless compare it to other people because nobody is identical.

I hope you understand it better now.
I understood this process even before you gave your opinion.

Wait, I told you that I simply disagreed with you on the gene issue. To be honest I shouldn't have said I disagreed with you until you explained yourself.

Why are you saying that I'm disagreeing with you for the sake of it? You brought up the word "genes", I didn't. I asked you to explain, politely your side of what you're thinking, that's it. Who is unwilling to commit to the discussion? Where did you even come up with that?

So you do agree that people have faster and slower metabolism rates even if they eat the proper foods and live a healthy life. That's all that I wanted to know from you.

This is all I needed to see from you: Yes, you can have a higher metabolism than somebody else, or a lower,

You wanted me to explain it to you, so I did. What you bolded is not an explanation, it's a statement, which you didn't ask for. You disagreed with my opinion without even explaining why properly. If you truly understood the process before making your comment, you wouldn't of made it, it's that simple. If you knew what you were talking about in the first place there'd be no disagreement because what I said was right.

Anyways, usually, when someone disagrees yet doesn't explain why, it's a rather pointless addition to a discussion and serves little purpose.

He did a lot with HBO and rarely comes in much above his weigh in weight.

The structure of a persons body, specifically in regards to there ratio of lean muscle mass vs fat has a large effect on there resting metabolic rate. During exercise, two people both weighing 200 pounds, one has a higher percentage of muscle mass, the other has a higher percentage of fat, they both can burn the same amount of calories during exercise. However when they are at resting heart rate the person with the leaner body mass will burn calories at a higher rate than the person with a higher fat percentage.

Another example of body structure is the three body types, ectomoprh, mesomorph and endomorph. An ectomoprh (very tall) will have a larger weight contribution to bone mass among other things, thus, there BMR (resting metabolic rate) will be higher.
I found your post interesting, but for goodness sake, if you have any pretence AT ALL to education, please spell the word "T=H=E=I=R, when used in the contexts in which you've just used it. Also, my understanding is that whilst an ectomorph MAY be tall and thin, it is not neccessarily so. He can be short and thin, the emphasis is on slenderness and thin muscleature.

At least so I was taught.
