LOL, at elite timing. What Danny and his people are overlooking are Matthysse's chin and power. Lucas knows how to use his power he doesn't have to land clean to hurt his opponents, he starts touching them up and when they are shook he pounces upon then. Also and probrably most important is Garcia's leaky defense and lack of movement. Garcia gets hit a lot with clean punches which is a recipe for disaster against Matthysse.
Kahn was beating the **** out of Danny and if if it wasn't for his china chin he probably would have stopped Garcia that round or the next.Comment

I agree.
Mostly because styles make fight, while Judah was still fast enough to catch Danny as he moved backwards, Matthysse is not only slower, but fights differently.
Danny needs to be clever, control the pace of the fight, know when and how long he needs to trade. He can't walk Matthysse down, he can't only rely on counterpunches.
Danny needs to outsmart Matthysse, turn it into a chessmatch. Box when he needs, counter when he can, beat matthysse to the punch if he makes mistakes with his wide feints etc.
Danny needs something close to a strategically perfect fight in my opinion.Comment

Well do you agree that a fast-paced, slugfest firefight favors Lucas Matthysse? I say it does because it's the reason why he lost those two close and controversial decisions to Zab Judah and Devon Alexander. I just don't see Lucas winning a slow-paced, tactical stalemate boxing match against Danny Garcia.
Moreover, if Danny is too defensive and does decide to fight off his back foot, then I can see Lucas blitzing him from the very start into some early exchanges and perhaps even stopping him; Because Garcia is going to have throw something hard back to keep Matthysse off him and it will be kind of difficult, if he's backed up and especially with his back on the ropes.Comment

He very well could outbox Garcia; Alexander and Judah (3 years ago) were better boxers than Garcia is, and Lucas held his own. Plus, he's better now. I think Lucas is better in almost every way.Well do you agree that a fast-paced, slugfest firefight favors Lucas Matthysse? Garcia and his bad chatter will get him painfully knocked out. SOMEONE PLEASE write his quotes down, and run them by Danny boy, after he wakes up to a vicious knock out, and remind him of what he said, then ask the idiot, "What happened Danny".... ask his loud moouth Pops, "What happened to Danny? I thought he said he could fight backing up; he actually got knocked out". Matthysse is saying nothing... he's wrapping up boot camp. Garcia is in for the biggest beatdown he's ever had, and he won't be asking for a rematch. Not going to happen Frank. C'mon mate, do you really believe that Danny can hit Lucas with anything that Soto didn't.
Danny's run as champion is ending this weekend and the Garcia's know it. Expect more DSG endorsements in the future and a rematch with Judah. Danny will still be an earner, but Matthysse has a real shot at (reluctant) global stardom.
Matthysse by KO 8-11
