The man just admitted that he didn't like his own performance, and that he was rusty. I think a lot of you are putting too much into this decline theory. He's 37, of course he's lost a step, but the funny thing about that is he's still 2-3 steps ahead almost all the fighters in his weight division. He was coming off a year layoff, he's 37 I believe he has the right to be a little rusty. IMO he did great considering those factors and the fact that he hurt his hand.

I can't honestly say how this fight is going to play out, I think it's going to be a great fight and TRUE boxing fans will appreciate the match. I'll admit I'm a floyd fan, I'm a true fan of boxing though so I appreciate the skill he brings to the sport. Saying that, I have no idea how the fight will play out, I'm just anxious to watch it.

Also anyone who is a real boxing fan and have been following floyd for some time knows that floyd fights different based on his opponents. He has chosen to stay in the pocket and fight, which for all you new boxing watchers, it isn't new. all you guys who swear you know boxing do your research and watch some of his old fights, floyd has been staying in the pocket since he was younger. When he's up against a big puncher and/or bigger man, he uses more movement to wear them down ie: corrales, baldomir, delahoya..He used movement against hatton, because hatton liked to maul and tussle on the inside which the same with guerrero so, it doesn't allow them to get set and work like they want to. People keep saying this cotto fight, but trust if he wanted to use movement against cotto, he could have and would have made the fight even more lopsided than it already was.

In this fight he has options and he'll do what he always does, wait to see what Canelo brings, take it away from him and capitalize off his mistakes.

The big question is, once he takes Canelo's best ability(ies) will Canelo be able to adjust and bring something diff to once again make fmj adjust. It's going to be a fight of adjustments, and it'll come down to who adjustments work better, and will Canelo's stamina come into play.

    Use your heads people.

other than Lara, whom Floyd will never fight anyway, what fighter anywhere 140-154 would you give a chance of beating Floyd?

Believe it or not, Pac still even after the Marquez loss....still is a threat to Floyd.

theres so much footage on Floyd, you could tell Guerrero studied where Floyd was going to be after ducking the first shot but naturally, Floyd adjusted after the 3rd and the rest is history...

Every fighter has a huge advantage as they get to study froyd in hd, haven't seen to many Canelo wars...

It's a damn shame, isn't it? Wilbon was right. Boxing is dead.

Even Mayweather felt bad that he let him get a couple shots in.
He did fight a good fight, it wasn't his fault his ability couldn't match Mayweathers.

Does running 100ms in 9.8s automatically become slow if somebody else does it in 9.6s?

I know what i saw with my eyes and Mayweather was just a beast in there.

Guerrero didn't jab as much as you would have liked him to because Floyd took it away by jabbing/hooking

I seen the same with ortiz..that's the only reason may came forward was to avoid being pinned..I don't think his over all abilities are greatly diminished..but he's been a bit more stationary as of late
