That where you have to give Mayweather some props when he fights guys. It may not be the most dangerous guy but he fights them after a big victory or when they're champions
-Mayweather fought Ricky Hatton when they were both undefeated and Ricky had all that confidence
-fought Marquez RIGHT OUT OF RETIREMENT, and just toyed with him like he was trash. He treated Pacquiaos daddy like his son. People really overlook this fight just cuz of the weights. Just look at the skills in that fight
-was all set to fight Pac in March, but then fought Mosley after his big win against Margarito. Mosley didnt have a fight cuz of Berto got hurt i think, and everyone was scared to fight him (even Roach admitted)
- fought Ortiz after a confidence win against Berto w/the belt i believe
-fought Cotto after couple wins and the belt on the line
-fought GUerrero as his mandatory and was champ too i believe

Am i Pac fan, but admitt that Mayweather fights guys when they are in their most confident state to say the least. so gotta give him props there

That "impressive win" was fools gold though. Margacheato walked into the ring just minutes after being caught with loaded wraps. He was a mess mentally without those bricks in his gloves.
Mosley was done long before that fight, that win against cheto just gave everyone hope that he could cheat father time. Add to the fact that it was another year and a half later that he fought Floyd, that win was ****...

At the end of the day, this was virtually the same Shane coming off of a close and competitive fight with a prime Cotto. Make no excuses for Margarito.

Shane was late in his career but not as shot as you make him out to be. Once Floyd fought him,the SEVERE stamina issues really surfaced in a major way...of course Floyd took the chance fighting him anyways...not his fault that he was proven to be this far removed from being a competitive fighter. This same version of Shane was ducked and had a difficult time getting a fight...in fact,many were counting on Shane having a chance. Lets not forget where Shane was ranked at the time he fought Floyd (both p4p and in the WW division)...

but a trout win(i disagreed with) and now a fight with floyd canelo seems to be on a great track to have a hof career if he keeps this level of comp up

Every real boxing fan I know does. There just aren't as many. Like other dude said, quit playing dumb. You know the boxing community of fighters, trainers, managers and fans did not care one bit about the Marquez fight. Especially considering Marquez was already in his mid 30s, and had just 2 fights at lightweight. You're simply going against reality just to be a nuisance.

Mosley was old but Floyd did fight a better Mosley and didn't fight a smaller fighter for a vacant title.
