Comments Thread For: Mayweather on Canelo: No Vacant Belt, Old Mosley For Me

Floyd Mayweather Jr. (44-0, 26KOs) thinks the public is giving a little too much hype to career accomplishments of WBC/WBA junior middleweight champion Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (44-0, 26KOs). They collide this Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. Mayweather says most of Canelo's big victories came against boxers who were over the hill or undersized, and his first world title was vacant when the Mexican star captured it with a win over Matthew Hatton.

We know Floyd, you didn't fight Mosley when he was 40, you fought him when he was like 38 or 39......huge difference there.

Yeah, he fought him right after the Margarito destruction. At a time when Roach and Pac were ducking Shane.

That "impressive win" was fools gold though. Margacheato walked into the ring just minutes after being caught with loaded wraps. He was a mess mentally without those bricks in his gloves.
Mosley was done long before that fight, that win against cheto just gave everyone hope that he could cheat father time. Add to the fact that it was another year and a half later that he fought Floyd, that win was ****...
